Doesn't this kind of have a similar plot as The Last Shot? That movie starred Alec Baldwin as an FBI agent who uses the making of a movie to take down the mob. Only that movie was an all out comedy and Baldwin's character gets so wrapped up on making the movie that he seems to forget what the real purpose of this was. Matthew Broderick and Toni Collette also star in the movie. It wasn't great, but it was amusing.
I always thought these two movies sounded kind of similar. I mean, obviously there are some big differences, but both movies use the making of a movie as a means for something else.
