Terence Young

In basically every interview I've read or seen with Connery talking about the Bond series, Sir Sean seems to give a lion's share of the praise for the series's success to Young.
Not that it's unjustified, because Young directed not only the first Bond film(Dr. No), he also directed the second and fourth(From Russia With Love and Thunderball, respectively).
He'd later direct the great thriller Wait Until Dark(as well as the infamous thriller The Klansman).
