WHAT SIDE DOES EVERYONE THINK IS GONNA WIN IN MARVEL'S CIVIL WAR?

ok people, this is going to be the first thing stated in this thread, so that way no one needs to repeat this in their posts...

THIS IS A SPOILER HEAVY THREAD. FOR THOSE NOT READING CIVIL WAR OR ARE IN THE PROCESS OF READING CIVIL WAR AND HAVEN'T CAUGHT UP TO THE CURRENT ISSUES PLEASE READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED.

ok, so now that thats out of the way, let get to what this thread is about: marvel's civil war and who thinks who is gonna win it. i am like just about every person whos reading it, and am totally siding with captain america's anti-registration side. but does that mean i think they will win? maybe. does that mean i think iron man's pro-registration side will win? no. personally, i think its a third party whos going to try and musvle their way into the war...the government. basing this on the last issue of wolverine (46), and how a certain government affiliate was providing m.g.h. (mutant growth hormone), and basically was the one responsible for the stamford incident. and with them causing disasters to clean them up and that whole mess of things. it all just seems a little too weird, and is definetly something under caps and iron mans noses. we just have to wait until wolverines next issue to see what happens next. the mother of turning points happened in amazing spider-man (535) when spider-man FINALLY decided he was on the wrong side. ohh boy did that get me going. iron man has been nothing but a douchebag since civil war started, and finally spider-man sees it. plus, not to mention tony is in this mostly for the money. i wonder how that face-off is gonna end. i also think reed richards is gonna switch sides, too. tony stark has been getting way in over his head lately, and its causing everyone to change sides. more and more people seem to be going over to cap's side, which is fine by me. plus another thing thats really mind-blowing is the fact that thor isnt't exaclty thor, but a clone of him gone wrong.

all-in-all, i think civil war is getting a lot better, i thought for a while there that the story wasn't really going too far, and was slowing down, especially when wolverine began and some other miscellaneous titles. i think civil war has picked up quite a bit, and could possibly go past its february end date as more and more titles are being added into the mix.

if i had to choose between caps and irons' side....obviously, caps side would win for me. i think iron man will be overthrown by caps side or the government affiliates providing the fuel for the fire that is this civil war. either that, or tony stark will finally realize what a douchbag he is and release all of the heroes and villians from the 'negative zone' and strike back. OR someone else will release the prisoners without tony's knowledge.

one thing that still hurts my head is...how long are they gonna keep up with spider-man being unmasked? i think it's only a matter of time before the world somehow forgets it. its happened to tony stark a few times, where he was unmasked and then convinced the world he wasnt iron man. its happened to a few people. i just wonder how they'll handle it in spider-mans world. lets hear what you guys have to say about marvel's civil war!

Well after "Thor" pretty much cleaned house by himself against Captain Americas team, I would say Iron Mans side would win. But I doubt they'll use Thor again for sometime. Also some people on Caps side just walked away from it all. So its to close to call at the moment.I doubt Reed Richards will switch sides. They'll probably disband the Fantastic Four for a stint. We'll have to see if Dr. Strange, the Hulk, or the Silver Surfer side with anyone. Anyone of those guys would quickly turn the tide.
I doubt the new Thunderbolts will do much damage. Its strange that most of them are villians who go against people that are on Iron Mans team. Mainly Spider-Man. So Spidey seeing all his foes will most likely cause him to join the Cap.

i got no idea who's gonna win, but from the looks of things it appears that the only sure winner is Marvel's bottom line, and the only sure loser being the fans.

but in all honesty, niether side's gonna win. the shit going down in Anhialation coupled with Hulk's inevitable return(with a fucking army of aliens, leading us into World War Hulk in March) is gonna bring this dumnb bullshit to a screetching halt, bring everyone together and "remind the world why it needs heroes," nicely depositing us back at the same damn status quo. either that or this whole Civil War business will be enough of a chink in the global defenses that Hulk will be able to take over a significant portion of the globe before both sides ally to dethrone him. just so long as we get to see Brucie skip Stark's ass across the Atlanitc like a stone, i'll be happy.

At the end of Civil War, I am pretty sure the non-reg side will win. Marvel has been getting lots of flack lately for starting events and choosing the universe altering ways to end them. Between Dissasembled and Decimination, Marvel will end CW with everything back to status quo (at least before Civil War began). Stark will probably even hold yet another press conference where he convinces the world he isnt Iron Man (yawn!) and will probably do the same for Spider man as well.

Marvel has said repeatedly theyre not going back on this. After its over it may STAY that way, for quite a while.

Anyboy not remember when DC put out like 13 issues of Superman after he had been killed by Doomsday??

Yeah Marvel is going through with everything that happens. I'm loving Civil War so far, some of the best comics I've ever read.

I'm pretty sure at the end Cap's side will win, I mean can you see Stark win? I can't, that would mean the registration would be in effect forever. No way Marvel would do that.

I've only sort of followed it, but I hope Mr. Fantastic and Stark both get killed in the war and STAY DEAD. They both clearly deserve it.

Fight to the death: Captain America vs. iron Man. Even has an Old School vs. New School motif

When Hulk and Silver Surfer get back shit's gonna hit the fan. But whether this is after the War or during still remains to be seen. The only thing Guarenteed to happen afterward is the Avengers spilliting into two teams.

But on top of that i've heard to major rumours.

A) it will no longer be Tony Stark in hte Iron Man Armour at he end of the War

B) A True Patriot will take over as S.H.I.E.L.D. Director

But i've gotta say, so far i'm impressed with the quality of this crossover. Last years i was bitching about House of M, saying it should be somehting like this. And i know it's gonna total around somehting like 86 issues. BUt for the most part most of the mini's are good (Runaways/Young Avengers Ruled, but on the other hand, X-men: Civil war should have had more involvemnt instead of just furthering the 198 plot line)

But hopefully we'll se more permanent things happen here, like what DC did with Flash. The Statuesque needs a little shake up if you ask me

I think Cap's side is gonna win. I keep hearing that The Sentry is gonna be instrumental in the conclusion as well.

I wasn't sure who was going to win at first since Marvel promised huge changes, but now that they've turned the pro-side closer to villians than simply misunderstood heros, I'm not sure theres any way for Cap's side not to win.

Hell now I'm not even sure theres any way for Tony to even survive after all the crap he's pulled.

Also, CW: Frontline just outted a traiter on Starks side....that for some reason no one wants to deal with even though Reed, and Tony know they're a traiter. I figure thats probably going to be Sentrys big moment LedZepplin mentioned.

Cause......ya'know........I wouldn't wanna call the guy out either.

My thoughts as well, the whole time reading 5 and 6 I kept wondering if SS was going to show up.

Would be really cool if they wrote this in book form, since I'm not a big fan of comics. I would totally read it in a book. Or maybe if they put all the issues into 1 long binding. Because seriously, for a non comic book fan, the thought of tracking down all the different issues and junk just doesn't seem fun.

I am almost absolutely sure there will be a Trade paperback of this probably 6 months after the last issue. That's all the issues of the series in one book.
