No 'Lawrence of Arabia' on Blu-Ray?

No word on any developments to the new format yet?

It's coming...patience my friend...it's coming.

2010's will break your wallet when it comes to Blu-ray purchases this year. Better seek a second source for cash...

At least it has a dvd. What of all the films not even on standard, or worse no home video format whatsoever. The African Queen which is huge has never been released on American DVD. The same with many films as old as Vidor's The Crowd to films as recent as 1991's To Sleep With Anger. At least we have Lawrence of Arabia in some sort of easily findable format, not that I'd complain about the needed Bluray.

I've never bought this on DVD, so like with African Queen, should be an instant purchase as long as it has solid reviews, which I presume will be good, because most of the classics released so far, well everyone I have had, has been top notch for me.

Regarding future catalog releases from Sony, the VP informed while the negative of Lawrence of Arabia has already been scanned (at 8K), restoration is not completed yet and "will certainly take a year to complete."
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!.......

Only makes sense they would release it for the 50 year anniversary. I just wish it would be Jan 1st because I want it ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sony also said they'd be releasing "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" on Blu-ray the final quarter of this year -- another lie, it turns out.

Amazon mailed it. I should have it next week.

HOWEVER, I am soon buying a projector and will hook up a 100" screen.
This will most likely be my first movie on it.
So, it might be about a month lol
