Since I'm not a fan of Pixar, I can happily say this is the first Disney related movie in a long long time that I'm really looking forward to.

As a hardcore gamer (especially about games of old), I am absolutely looking forward to this movie. Personally, I'm impressed with the amount of genuine video game characters they got licenses for (then again, Disney's got money).

As for the situations, it's as if they've been perusing the gaming comics online (VG Cats, Penny Arcade, etc.) and then making gaming knock-offs so they can make original games of their own, which is understandable.

...and as far as merchandising (which drives big movies like this) goes, holy shit did they hit the mother load. You've got Nintendo, Namco, Capcom, Parker Brothers, and a whole plethora of companies to choose from. Like a kid in a candy store, licensing deals up the wazoo; and how much do you wanna bet we're gonna see WRECK-IT RALPH plugs in all these other games?

I had some weird allergic reaction to this trailer. I felt light-headed, my mouth tightened up around the edges and my eyes got watery. It's hard to explain, but a lot of it started when I started thinking of how neat it'll be for my son to see even just that trailer.

Does anyone know what movie they are going to be playing this in front of? As much as I want Jr. to see it now, I want to see his reaction, but seeing it on the big screen would be mondo awesome!

I saw the film today. I'm not really supposed to talk about it yet, but I absolutely loved it. Clever, inventive, witty, and filled with a great big heart. It pays wonderful homage and reverence to video games.
