Fifth Business!

Has anyone read this?!?!

The first entry in Robertson Davies' "Deptford Trilogy" is a phenomenal read. Simple..

The fake memoirs of Dunstan Ramesay: a Canadian schoolmaster who's obsessed with the idea that his boyhood friend's mother was a saint. His entire life, career, and book revolves around his quest to canonize another human being and it makes for a wonderful story..

I haven't the vocab to go into detail - But I cannot even begin to stress how great this book is.. Please.. go read it!

Robertson Davies is required reading in Canadian high schools and universities. Magic.

Required reading in High School? I'm from Canada(newfoundland) and I've NEVER heard of such a thing...

My bad - I know it is in some public schools in Ontario and Manitoba. Don't know about other provinces and territories.
