Dolph Sweet

The man who seems to always play some sort of police officer. Was a part of the soap opera "Another World" (as a police officer) and died while still playing *gasp* a police officer on "Gimme A Break!" Many other police roles as well.

Dolph Sweet...yay/nay?

I'm thinking nay. He did nothing after his brief TV stint.

I think there is some confusion here. Dolph Sweet was a fabulous, money in the bank character actor with a long string of credits.

Some of his better roles were as Big Bill Haywood in Reds, Despie Glasso's not-to-be-trifled with bowling alley owner father in The Wanderers, as well as memorable parts in The New Centurions and Go Tell The Spartans.

Guys like him are the glue that keeps movies together.

Yay.

No offense, of course. I just haven't seen him in any leading roles in the last 20 years and I didn't like Gimme A Break!. And since I'm not a soap fan, I'm just not impressed. Maybe I should have said that in the first place.
