GoodFellas: (10/10)

Awhile back, I finnaly got a DVD player and the first movie I got was "GoodFellas" even though I've never seen it before: and lemme say it kicked the shit right outta Platoon!

The story is all about the life and times of a kid named Henry Hill(note,it's based on a true story) who's always wanted to be a Gangster, and soon those dreams would be fulfilled by three people: Tuddy, Paulie and Jimmy "The Gent" Conway.

Those are a few people in his sick and twsited life in the Mafia. For years he's been stealing and making loads of wazzo by stealing from IdleWild Airport with his best friend Tommy DeVito(best supporting actor Joe Pesci) who are the best(Tommy is the best cusser by far).

Soon, Henry would meet his future wife Karen(masterfully played by Lorraine Bracco) who's at first in awe by Henry's "other family"(she thinks he's in construction)

The film is a wild ride from stop to finish which shows the realities of the mob unlike other Movies and Tv Shows that came before it.

The one part of the film that I love the most is "bodies all over" where the piano exit from "Layla" plays. That pretty much sums up the dangers of life in the Mafia.

The strongest performance of the film is by far by Joe Pesci who gives an outstanding performance(and he wins an oscar for it)

I urge you to rent GoodFellas(my fav film) and always remember: "Never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut"

http://www.joblo.com/ubb/Forum13/HTML/000457.html The Date Marks 7-27-01!!!!!

Here you say you have seen GoodFellas and it is "Probably the Best film f the 90's"...

The date you posted this was 6-30-01,almost a month before you got the DVD player!!!!

So, Jimmy, was your previous Video Capsule made before you saw GoodFellas? Or what? Explain yourself....

GOODFELLAS (9.5/10) is, like most schmoes a personal fave of mine.

Ive seen it more times than I can count and read the novel "WiseGuy" nearly as much.

A Stellar cast, engrossing script and exceptional soundtrack all roll together and create one of Scorsece's finest moments.

Okay, let me step in here.

Ricochet: The other capsules aren't all that odd. Jimmy may have forgotten that he posted them previously, or perhaps he just really, really, really likes the movie (which I think goes without saying at this point). In either case, please do not attempt to start a confrontation (and I'm not saying that you are, but this could easily head in that direction).

Don't Remember the Titans: WTF? Um...I don't know quite what to make of this one. Please try to keep your comments more constructive, or at the very least, less confusing, in the future? Thanks.

Alright, alright.......that was my first video capsule and I couldn't think of a fucking movie. My bad, my bad.......

Aand Rico, did you just out of the blue decide to start a confrontation or what? Not that I want one did you just decide that you wanted to or what.....?

and DON'T REMEMBER THE TITANS: What was that post worth anyway?
