Which Young Actor Do You Think Will Be the Next Big Celebrity?

Shia LaBeouf: He is the first name that comes to mind. I Can't wait to see him in upcoming roles.

Abigail Breslin: She won us over in Little Miss Sunshine. She's a gorgeous girl, and a great actress who will hopefully make it big... Unlike Mara Wilson from Matilda who just disappeared.

Cameron Bright: Loved him in The Butterfly Effect and Running Scared. One of my favorite child actors.

Daeg Faerch: Loved this kid in Halloween. He has a bunch of upcoming movies coming out his IMDB profile.

Paul Dano: Most reconizable from The Girl Next Door, and most recently in There Will Be Blood. Great actor!

don't forget Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick. The creepy kid from the Omen remake. I totally think he has the potential for a bunch of Rom-Com's when he hits puberty.

Dano stands the best chance from that bunch. Anyone that can hold his own acting-wise with Day-Lewis has got a future. Most of these candidates should be reality TV stars in a few years...

Yes and yes.
The second last pic (Daeg Faerch) looks like the next academy award winning actress/actor, i cant make out which.

At least one of the younger kids will get hooked to heroin in ten years.

Dano will be a very well-respected actor, though.

Dano is an absolute genius and judging from his roles in There Will Be Blood and Little Miss Sunshine, he's got a bright future ahead.

BTW, I have no fucking clue why Cameron Bright keeps getting movies. He plays the same stupid anti-social kid in every movie as he tries to do a scene with his facial expressions. I was praying that Juggernaut would get his hands on him in "X-Men - The Last Stand" and slap him silly.

Shia LaBeouf is probably most likely to reach stardom, but Paul Dano's the most talented. And Michael Cera is destined for fame even if he continues to play the same character over and over again.

I compeltely agree about Paul Dano, Michael Cera, Abigail Breslin and Shia LeBeuf.

I'm throwing in Joseph Gordon Levitt, too.

Agreed on Emile Hirsch, Shai Lebouf, Abigail Breslin and AnnaSophia Robb.

Cameron Bright? Hasn't he already shown signs of fading away?

Ryan Gosling, anyone?

Add Joseph Gordon-Levitt to that list as well....

...and Michael Angarano too, who could be the 'independent film' version of Shia LeBeouf

Anyone who has appeared on 24 gets automatic points from me, so count me on for Michael Angarano. He was pretty good in The Forbidden Kingdom too though the movie itself was so-so. Looking forward to Snow Angels when it hits dvd.

He was great in the Butterfly Effect.

Another child actor who was awesome in the Butterfly Effect was Jesse James, he played Tommy as a teen. His performance was chilling.

Levitt is 27 & Hirsch is 23...I don't think they can be in this discussion. They're both already pretty damn big.

I'd say Dano.

definately Dano. I still don't know how I feel about The Beef. He's so so, and they tried to compare his box office grosses with someone else in the new Enertainment Weekly, and they said hes sitting at almost a billion. They're kidding, right? Transformers would have made as much money if not more without The Beef, same with Indy. Who honestly said, I can't wait to see Indy/Transformers because of Shia Lebouf!!! Fuck that. He will dissapear in a few years when he can't be carried by his films and they start relying on him for his own roles. Because, if Disturbia is any indication, then The Beef is a bit laughable.

What should the cut off point be? I keep forgetting how old people are, some just look so young to me, especially Ellen Page.

I wanted to include Jonathan Tucker but I think he must be in his mid 20's too.

I think the girl from the Narnia movies, Georgie Henley, is a good actress. I'd like to see how she is in something else.

You gotta wonder if Jaden Smith is gonna follow in his dad's footsteps. He was so cute in The Pursuit of Happyness.

I did. Granted, it wasn't the only reasons I looked forward to those films but he was definitely a big reason. Shia rules.

LaBeouf is a good actor, anyone who saw A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS or THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED knows he has the chops to make it for a long time in this business. He's also been smart enough to attach himself to large profile projects to boost his fame.

so if he wasnt in it would you have seen it? I'm sure some people looked forward to seeing him in it.. but the only reason? I didn't understand how they were comparing his box office gross with Indy and Transformers included.. they really had nothing to do with him being in the movies. I would bet my life that if he wasn't in them, they would have made the same grosses. People saw Indy for Indy, and Transformers for the robots, not the human lead. I just felt it was a completely unfair comparison. I think they compared him to Tom Hanks, but I'm not sure. It was against someone who was known to carry an entire movie by himself.

He was the only reason I saw Holes, The Greatest Game Ever Played and Disturbia. So yes, there have been times when he's been the sole motivating factor.

I wouldn't have cared if a ball of lint was in it next to Indy, I saw it for the return of Harrison Ford's Indy. Not that Shia wasn't good in the movie, I like him , but I would have seen it regardless of whether he was in it or not.

We haven't seen Indiana Jones at the movies since 1989 and I would think that a huge part of the gross has to be those people who were wanting to see Harrison Ford's return.

18.

You're considered an adult at 18 in the States, so that's a general consensus of "adulthood".

Probably Shia Labeouf, but Dano and Breslin have the best acting futures in front of them methinks.
