Street Fighter IV

I've only unlocked Gen so far, since I've always played principally with Chun Li.

Even on easy mode, Seth is such a bitch from hell. It's fucking maddening. The whole thing is almost effortless until you get to Seth, and then within the hour I'm just looking around my room for more shit to break.

To unlock the characters, beat Seth (and almost all other opponents) in Very Easy mode and do jumping high kick, crouching high kick, and repeat. Takes him out pretty quick.
In other difficulties... yeah, he can be a real bitchfucker.

That's essentially what I've been trying to do, but then he starts teleporting all over the fucking place, doing that same grab over and over or the shoryuken, or the combo where he jumps off the wall at you. I dunno. Maybe I just need to be more systematic about it.

Been playing through the Killzone 2 campaign on hard, and holy shit, is it ever.

Currently stuck at the beginning of the train, when you have to use the mounted gun on the tank. Only, being completely exposed and having to mow down 30 dudes, I tend to die fairly quickly. Even tried ditching the mounted gun to slug it out oldschool, which actually worked a hell of a lot better, but after killing guy 29, guy 30 ran up behind me and fucked my world up while my partner watched. The friendly AI in this game is fucking terrible. I about shit my pants in frustration.

I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. Not just because of the ridiculous difficulty, but overall I haven't been really impressed. Everything is really stiff, aiming is next to impossible, and the aformentioned AI problem (enemy AI is fucking great, compounding the problem considerably) is garaunteed to make you break shit. Do not play this game with your children in the room.

Final Fantasy IV (DS)

I just beat Golbez in the Dwarven Shrine in the Underworld. Wasn't too tough. After that, I spent like 2 hours grinding to get everyone to levels 40-45 so I don't have to worry about it for a while.

Burnout Paradise - Big Surf Island. Got all the cheeves, now it's time to rule the roads. Such a great piece of DLC for sure.

Velvet Assassin - Haven't played in a week or so, but it's a pretty solid stealth game. Even tho, it apparently goes into "shooter" mode in the last couple acts.

F.E.A.R. 2 - Like it much more than the first one. I'm half way through this after a week, and after over a year, I'm only half way through the first.

Fuel - While the races are annoying due to serious rubberbanding issues, it's still a good time just in free roam. The world is HUGE!

CoD:WaW - Almost finished on Hardened. Veteran was a fucking bitch, so I switched over to Hardened. LOTS of patience (which is in short supply at the moment), and I know I can do Veteran... one day.

Wolfenstein 3D (XBLA) - Great memories with this. Lots of game play for 400msp.

Doom (XBLA) - Grabbed it on a "eh, why not" moment. Good pick up. I still play it on the PC, so what the hell.

I think that's it.

Oh, I've got Prototype sitting there still sealed, which I'll be popping in tonight.

You'll have to share how you beat the final bit of the Wesker battle. I know how you're supposed to do it, but after I shoot his stupid little arc-reactor shit, and he's all like, "aaaaahhhh...don't shoot that..." I run up to him under the impression you're supposed to grab him, only it doesn't fucking let me and he just whacks the living shit out of me with his feel-bad arms.

Haven't picked this game back up out of frustration, and it's a fucking shame, because I'm aware of all the goodies after beating it, and the knowledge of how fucking close I am is gonna make my head explode like fucking Scanners.

Coincidentally I picked up the Penumbra Collection a few weeks back. Very cool atmospheric games. I freaking hate the spiders (in a good way). I beat Prototype and I just don't have the energy to go back and find all the Web of Intrigue targets and the landmark collectibles (FUCK YOU COLLECTIBLES), so I'm busting through Kingdom Hearts 2 (want to finish it before the DS one comes out), and then I'm gonna start my Final Fantasy marathon, starting with IX. The goal is to finish every numbered entry before XIII comes out. Except II. Because II sucks. I still have yet to beat I, II, III, V, IX and XII. Maybe I'll squeeze X-2 in there if I have time. Despite the retarded story, the battle system is hella fun. It'll be nice to play VIII again because it's been fucking forever since I played it last.
