Are you a smoker or non-smoker?

Just wondering who here smokes and doesn't smoke. Why or why not? Do you support it?

For me I don't smoke. Never have never will. It's just not me. I don't support it, but I don't have a problem with people who do. If people wanna smoke, they can, it's their choice. The smell bothers me sometimes. Especially weed. I cannot stand the stuff.

Seeing a attractive girl smoke is a bit of a turn off for me. I just tend to not find very much attractiveness in women with a habit that only blackens your lungs and makes you and your breath all funky.

I'd never touch a cigarette, but I'll light up a good cigar once in while.

I'm a non-smoker, almost. I hate cigarettes, I've tried them and never liked them, and hate passive smoke. Plus cigarette smokers stink and some have yellow teeth, and that's just nasty. Weed's alright, especially skunk, but I haven't had any in a long while. I also like cigars, if they're the right kind, but i'm no aficionado.

I am a nonsmoker, but I grew up around smokers, so it doesn't really bother me.

It does really irritate me to see the extremes that government goes to in order to "protect" everyone else from smokers. It's ridiculous. If cigarettes are so bad, just make the damn things illegal.

NON!!!

I'll put up with it if I have to but I definitely try and avoid areas with smoking.

I was SO happy when the restuarant I worked at the time became a 100% smoke free place.

I'm a "casual" smoker, if there's such a thing. I'm a big cigar man, but when it comes to cigarettes...I only partake after a few drinks. I smoke a good amount of weed too, so if that counts...then you can classify me as a smoker.

Why? I guess it just started off as a social thing. I personally find a good cigar relaxing. The only thing I smoke on a regular basis is weed.

I'm not into cigs and cigars to the point where I NEED them, so if, for some reason, they were outlawed/illegal...it wouldn't really affect me.

I'll smoke when I'm out drinking but it's never carried over into my sober life. Some people tell me it will, but I've been selectively/socially smoking for 4 years and not once has it became anything more.

I'll also have a "dip" with one of my buddies from time to time, if I'm in the mood.

Basically, I just like to treat myself to a good dose of nicotine once and a while.

I agree, my whole family smoke so I'm used to it. Bans like smoking in Pubs is ridiculous, 80% of people will smoke when they go out drinking. Therefore it's actually worse on us non-smokers as we get the whinging and whining from the smokers when they have to go outside with their cigarettes.

Smoker. Grew up around them but never touched one myself until I turned 18.

Started to piss of an ex who was an avid non smoker. It worked

However, in the end I lost, because I started smoking lol.

Wound't mind dropping to being a social smoker again I.E. when drinking and/or around other smokers.

Yup.

I've been smoking cigarettes for 3 or 4 years. I smoke half a pack a day normally and when I go out drinking, a whole pack or more.

I do not smoke weed. I never liked the shit and it makes me feel stupid and totally out of my element.

Never smoked. Lost family because of smoking. However, I do stand up for smokers rights. It is not hip (to me) to treat smokers like parasite killers.

I'm good though, I'll just stick with beer.

Occasional smoker... in the evenings in my garden, after an alcoholic beverage or 3.

I hate smoking in public places. I detest smoking in restaurants.

My child is 18 months old and I won't allow smoking in his presence until he's a teenager at least.

I smoke. Started in 10th grade, which was, what, a little more than 3 years ago I guess. Really should quit. Or at least switch to lights, as much as I hate lights. Dunno when either of those things happen. Also smoke weed.

Smoked one puff off of a cigarette when I was 13ish, never did it again. If you mean pot, tried it a handful of times when I was 17ish, maybe like 4 times with a girl I was dating, she was the type who liked to get high daily. It never did anything for me so I never did it again.

I used to smoke half a pack a day for about a year and a half but since the new taxes I had to stop cold turkey. I've smoked here and there, maybe one or two every few weeks to a month or so since March. Which is good considering I want to take up a healthier lifestyle eventually.

I love smoking. And if there's anything I love more than smoking, it's the self-righteous non-smokers. Every self-righteous non-smoker I've either lived with or hung out with, eats the nastiest, processed shit like a fucking cow and guzzles gallons of soda like it's water from the fountain of youth. Yeah, good job. You listened to the cool commercials and your DARE officer so you can live with diabetes later in life. I don't understand the attitude. Before I had any kind of interest in smoking I never treated smokers the way people treated me. And don't give me that "Oh, they're just saying that because they care." Fuck that bullshit. We all know they don't. It's because these "truth" commercials use words like "loser" to describe people that like to get a nicotine fix.

I do want to try those E-Cigarettes though, it'd be pretty cool to smoke in a movie theater.

I've done it a few times but nothing more. Once in a blue moon in my future I could see myself doing it again but nothing substantial. I've got asthma and obviously, smoking about the biggest no-no for asthmatics.

When I meet with certain friends, I'll also light up a blunt when I can. again, nothing substantial.

yes

I smoke both cigarettes and weed. I'll quit when I feel like it. Thus far it hasn't had effects more negative than woofing down a double cheeseburger or three from McDonald's, like so many hypocrites I know who seem to think it's somehow better for them.

Granted that isn't any excuse, but I don't ever feel the need to justify my smoking habits, or make excuses for why I'm "killing myself". I enjoy smoking. Plain and simple.

As for the whole "killing myself" angle - what can I say? I'm a fatalist. Talk to me 100 years from now when... ...oh wait, we'll (most likely) all be long gone at that point, whether we've ever had a cigarette or not. In that case, leave a carton for me at my grave. And a chicken sandwich, with some waffle fries.

Boy, my government sure knows what's best for me. A man who's 95% nicotine addiction free and an Israelite, ex-smoker who seeks to make me see the error of my ways through despotic etiquette legislation.

I sure have no place to criticize or question my rulers and betters.

Haha exactly what he said.

But yeah, I'm a smoker. I have varied throughout my late teenage years to now from a casual smoker to even a non-smoker at times. It really just depends what mood I'm in and what's goin' on in my life. I do know that I'm not addicted, 'cuz I'll have times where I have a near full pack on me while I'm lying around the house and the thought won't even occur to me to have one at all. I am trying to quit for health reasons, so that's why I'm looking to switch to electronic cigarettes. That, and because they're even fuckin' cooler than regular cigarettes and I wanna make my fellow smokers jealous...

I also smoke weed just about everyday (Just stubbed out a blunt roach, as a matter of fact). I love weed. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend. Its not a gateway drug and its not addictive (though I will admit that can be habit forming, as in my case ). I especially recommend if you do anything artistic (drawing/painting, writing, playing music, even acting)...

I've never smoked in my life, and I doubt I ever will. My grandmother used to babysit my brother and I nearly every day, and in the summer when she'd drive us back to her house she would smoke, and I always hated it, which may be the reason I'm so against smoking. My mother just recently picked up cig's again, (she smoked in High-School, then after I moved out she began smoking again [and practically laid the blame on me], and this is the third time she's went back to it.) My dad used to smoke cigarettes, but now he's a cigar-man.

Only smoked a cigarette once and that was because I was tanked up on vodka and a friend had one for some reason. Only recalled it because of the rank taste of smoke in my mouth when I woke up. Tried cigars a few times when chilling with friends and beers, those weren't that bad but not something I'd do very often.

Can't stand the smell of people who smoke regularly, I sit near a guy at work who goes out occasionally to have one and absolutely reeks when he comes back.

I smoked cigarettes through high school and maybe a year after I graduated then I quit cold turkey, no problemo. I've been a daily weed smoker for the last 13 years. I don't cough, hack up nasty shit, or feel any negative side affects from weed. I like to puff down before I go to the gym, because it helps me get in the zone, especially on a treadmill.

One thing I'm not is into the whole weed culture. I don't wear pot leaves on my clothing or look like a hippie. People who just meet me would never have a clue that I smoke and I'm proud of that. By outwardly appearances I'm very normal. I love to smoke weed, but it's not everything to me.

Non-smoker.

Have smoked before when with friends or family who smoke, but I don't even do it for 'social reasons' anymore.

As for weed, never done it. Which is odd because it seems that pretty much everyone else my age has and I guess peer pressure will get to me, but I'm not really much of a hipster and I don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money on something which seems so pointless.

I don't understand marijuana... I've done it more times than I care to count for but my reaction to it has to be the equivalent of a crazy acid trip (never done acid, but it's what I would imagine it would be like). I don't get how people do it and live normal lives. The shit puts me on my ass.

I can't abide cigarettes or cigars. The smell makes me feel a bit sick actually, there are few things worse than sitting in, say, a crowded cinema and someone sitting next to you who has clearly just had a fag and now smells of stale smoke. Disgusting habit. Deadly too, so much so that if we discovered tobacco today there's no fucking way it would be legal.

I used to work in an office full of smokers and, as an incentive, the manager would sometimes allow smoking shifts if we were doing well, unless, of course, I minded. I went home reeking most nights.

I am of the non-smoking kind. I've never smoked a single cigarette in my life. Personally, it doesn't interest me. However, I don't have a problem with those who do smoke, nor do I have a problem with the smell (except in casinos, where the smell can be overwhelming after a significant amount of time inside). I have friends and plenty of family members who smoke. Smoking isn't for me, though.
