hmmm...maybe they will have the Director's cut exclusive on DVD....I would actually be OK with that but I would prefer a DC steelbook. Either way I already have the reservation with them.

Also, Futureshop has announced the Steelbook for Star Trek will be available for both Blu-Ray and DVD, and they've announced Steelbooks for Inglourious Basterds and District 9!!
I heard there's no SB for DVD releases. Just BD. Think I read on their forums that Star Trek is their only DVD SB.

So here's a question for anybody out there: Does anybody know of a website where you can order Steelbooks from Spain? They seem to have a lot of cool ones in Spain!

Hey, does anybody know if that Captivity steel that came out about a year ago, the one with sand in the cover, is an actual Steelbook, or is it a Metalpak or other tin? ALSO, has anybody heard tell of a Steelbook edition of Twilight in dvd? I know they did a blu-ray version, but I'm looking for a dvd.

Thanks! If I'm desperate for one at least now I know where I can get them. I checked out the shipping costs, and you're right. They're pretty hefty.

So .. I picked up the GI Joe steelbook at Wal-Mart today, and its weird cause it says DVD all over it, and it's DVD packaging .. but yet the disc is a Blu-Ray.

Not that it really matters, but it's so weird.

Why would they do that? Because I know people are going to buy this thinking it's a DVD.

Well, a big ol' AW SHUCKS to those of you who were hoping for a STEELBOOK for Terminator or Harry Potter. Warner has switched to a North American manufacturer for their 'collector cases'. So they'll be IRON CASES instead of Steelbooks.

Not sure if this will affect the American releases, but it will affect the BD cases from Futureshop.

Personally I don't care. They apparently look the same, but I know some of you guys here are Steelbook elitists. Thought I'd throw you the heads up!

well, as long as they keep district 9 and inglorious basterds as bluray STEELBOOKS, i will be fine with it. not a harry potter fan and although i was gonna buy terminator, i am not that upset by it. just means i wont have to spend outrageous amounts of money on it from ebay.

It's only Warner discs that are affected since it's a Warner decision.

So District 9 (that just got bumped up to December 22 BTW) and Basterds will be SteelBooks!

The next Steelbook I'll be grabbing is the District 9 BD. Due to Christmas I'm going to have to pass on Basterds and PEs. (D9 is just too bad ass to pass up though...)
