Lame.

As some of you may know, I am in High School. If any of you are in high school or remember high school, then you know it's filled with lame people. Save for a really good handful, everyone there is lame.
So, this kid in my Spanish class, that always tries to fuck with me was wearing a RUN DMC T-shirt. Specifically one that I've seen at Target many-a-time. So I confront him. I have a really foul mouth, especially more recently, so here's what I said, pretty much verbatim.
"Hey, fuck. Name three Run fucking DMC songs"
After a long pause, he replies "Get Silly.....or Tricky. Get Tricky" I correct him that it's "It's Tricky" and he cannot name anymore. Then he tells me to name 3 episodes of "Bayside Tigers". Well, first of all I was wearing my Bayside Tigers tshirt, which is a Saved By The Bell reference. I gave him 3 very detailed plotlines and he called me a liar.

Damn, teens are lame

Whoa. Run DMC? Saved by the Bell? Do you go to high school in 1990 or something?

Yes teenagers are lame, real lame.

I remember thinking this way during high school, even about myself lol

Do you know what's strange though? As you get older, high school kids seem increasingly lame and childlike. Thank god it's only four years.

Oh and what the fuck is "Bayside Tigers"? I seriously have no fucking clue. Another advantage associated with getting older, these things become increasingly irrelevant. Like I have no fucking clue what teens are into these days and feel more than fine with it.

As a final note, I never understood the attraction to "Saved by the Bell" back in the day - what kind of person spends all day in high school to go home and watch a show about high school!?! mashocists?!

Here's some advice: when you graduate high school and move on to college, just keep this story to yourself. Unless you start hanging with hipsters. I guess they find that shit amusing.

I don't look at teenagers in terms of "lame" or "down". That seems weird to me. They aren't peers. Then if you are saying all your peers who are teenagers are lame, then you are lame by association because they are your peers.

Teenagers aren't supposed to be savvy, so failure to be culturally savvy doesn't make them lame, just makes the ones who are savvy cooler in some circles.

Unfortunately, so can adults.

Edit: I take back what I posted. I went too far, and it was perhaps in itself lame. It was just me venting, and it isn't relevent to this board...just like this thread really isn't either.

Before this thread possibly gets closed, I will comment on how lame fellow teens were from 1997 to 2003 for me (I've always been a loner). From middle school to high school. In general, from popular topics like current movies and music. If high school makes you feel like you're trapped in a mental institution...I know the feeling. I felt embarrassed to be associated with their generation. Once high school is over and you're ready to move on, it gets better.

One time I saw the Coach wearing a shirt that had a reference to some foreign indie and I told him to name me another movie by the same director. He looked at me for a while then offered me to come in his office and....a-an.....
