Is this for real? Its not a Jeff Goldblum death kind of thing? That's REALLY unexpected.

So it's definitely true? That came out of nowhere. Horrible news, she was talented and way too young for this. My thoughts are with her family.

Thats a real shame. She was one of the younger actresses that actually had talent.

Luanne Hill will never be the same.

R.I.P.

Quite a few sites are posting it. But it seems they are all going of off TMZ.

Weren't there reports recently of her losing a lot of weight and being fired from a movie? I'm going with cocaine as cause of death.

That's crazy if that's true. Terrible to lose her so young.

Shame. I liked her in Sin Ciy and enjoyed her on King of The Hill

Holy shit... really?

Jesus. R.I.P., she definitely had talent.

i genuinely loved her in Sidewalks of New York, Clueless and Sin City.

Shit like this always turns into a cautionary tale, she was pretty obviously going into a downward drug induced spiral.

I just read this on facebook and shouted out, "Holy shit!" right in front of my family in shock.

This is sad. I always thought she was very attractive and talented even though she starred in mostly god-awful movies.

Holy shit was exactly what I said as well. It sounds like it is true. Very, very, very sad indeed.

Just saw this posted on Coming Soon, when i went to look for the weekend box office numbers.

Thats pretty insane, they are going off of the TMZ story as well.

It says Cardiac Arrest, which as most of us know, in deaths at that age, stem from Drug Abuse, I.E Cocaine (mainly)

thats a shame

RIP

This is pretty fucked up. It's a shame for anyone to die so young, but I'm not gonna concede my previous opinion of her in that I don't think she was talented. I blame her junkie husband for this and her recent career decline...

Yeah, never been a fan of her personally (as an actress) but that is incredibly sad and completely unexpected. Way too young.

I just saw her in person a few months back when she was in Eugene filming 'Something Wicked'. She was strung out as hell... Very sad considering she was so young. Nothing compared to her 'Clueless' days.

Wow, this almost doesn't compute with me that it's so shocking...I was just thinking last week about what she's been doing with her career since she kinda fell off the map.

And to hear that it was probably drugs is even worse.

SHIVER ME TIMBERS...

Whoever posted that Sun link trying to back himself up.......well I'm not doubting you AT ALL, because frankly, I don't care, but The Sun are known for reading forums and quoting them as apparent "sources". It has been proven numerous times in the UK, so yeah, that source on their website is probably, unofficially, you.

I was never a big fan (though she charmed me in Clueless), but assuming this is true it is extremely sad news, 32 is far, far too young to go.

With a few other deaths earlier this year, at least some of those talents accomplished a good life's work. Dan O'Bannon and Stan Winston, for instance, presented us with more than their fair share of talent. I dare say Murphy could, could have bounced back and made something even more interesting of her career. Far too young, indeed.

Wow. I can't say I was anywhere near being her biggest fan, but I did enjoy her role in 8 Mile and I do own Sin City on DVD. It's sad that she died so young . . . and around the holidays too.

Yeah, no kidding. It definitely seems like that piece of shit fucked up her life, and I assume he's now getting a HUGE check from her estate. Fuck, I wish I could kick his ass.

Not too surprising considering she was known as a crack-head as far back as 8 Mile, but it still doesn't diminish the tragedy of her demise at such a ridiculously young age.

RIP Miss Murphy, truly be at peace.

I have not been following her career recently, and while the inclusion of substance abuse may be inevitable, this stunned me when I heard it just now on the radio.

However, if she genuinely did die of a heart attack that wasn't brought on by narcotics, that is shocking still.

I literally just came to the computer and read about this almost right away. That really sucks. She was a beautiful, sexy, talented actress. I really liked her work in Don't Say a Word, an underrated thriller. Very sad.

RIP

And for someone to die of a heart attack at her young age, it HAS to be drug related, right?

just saw the recently bumped thread in upcoming movies about her being fired from her previous flick.... sounds like she was on a downward spiral.

She was a female who, in the right light, could look really sexy.. of course in the wrong light, looked fucking insane!

Not a chance she died from a "Natural" heart attack... at 32, i believe that is pretty impossible, plus with her storied past... it had to have been drug induced.

Every magazine has already done their "In Memorium" for 2009, plus with the year end double issues... EW should pop up with a good article as their first issue of 2010

Wow, it's really shocking to see this come up as the first headline on my browser. It's sad that another actor had to die because of drugs. She wasn't the best but she was good enough to have had a steady career. It's a shame. I always enjoyed her on King of the Hill.

RIP.

I was at a sports bar earlier and overheard a guy say to his friend "dude, did you see that actress Brittany Murphy died?!"

I thought I was hearing things but sure enough I come back to my apartment and check the news and she is dead.

Rest In Peace

I guess things had really become bad career-wise when I saw her in a straight to SyFy channel earthquake movie.
