Minecraft, pretty much the only game I've played in the last couple weeks.

I finished playing Enslaved two nights ago, and I really enjoyed it. It's a great story and great voice acting as well. Overall, the game is a little short, but I didn't have a problem with it. Very solid game.

Blah! I am back to World of Warcraft. Nothing else out there that seems remotely entertaining. And it looks like FF14 was a HUGE flop. Cataclysm needs to hurry up and release though.

Was FF14 released? That was the new MMORPG right? I didn't even know it was at beta stage.

It's only been released for PC. The PS3 version isn't due out til March 2011, due to limitations on the system memory, SE saidit needed more development time.

That said, it looks like it's a disaster critically. GameTrailers, one of the fairest review sites, handed down a 4.2/10 to it.

Not just the critics hate it. It's pretty much unanimous from all that I have read and heard from friends that it's an abortion of a game. But I haven't played it so I can't give my expert opinion. Not about to spend money on it with all the terrible reviews it has gotten.

I wasn't expecting much to begin with though. Since FF11, while much more polished, was still a pretty bad game gameplay-wise.

FIFA 11 - added one of those game face things to my virtual pro, just to add to the irony of me playing a sports video game.

NBA 2k11 - love the classic teams

Finished Castlevania over the weekend. Loved it. Some of the negative reviews about it have me a little confused as I really had no problems with it, minus the fixed camera some times not giving the desired angle. But other than that, I thought it was one of the best games to be released this year.

Now, I moved on to Medal of Honor. So far, its also better than some of the reviews have indicated.

I really like it. It's kind of fun to see the familiar stages redone in a partially familiar form then see them change it up completely on you (Such as the dam diving scene) It borrows a lot from Call of Duty (Especially the online mode) but the Bond personality gives it a little more diversity and level of interest than your usual COD shooter. The single-player is a good length even though there are less stages than the N64 game. To compensate, the stages are longer and some have more scripted sequences thrown at you out of nowhere. They do help add to the sense that your playing and being in a Bond game, not a regular shooter. The online is torn straight from COD, Experience system and perks et al intact. At least here, options and modes like Man with the Golden Gun mode and Black Box mode are available immediately and are really fun to play online. Sadly, the Classic Conflict Mode (Where you get to select a classic Bond Character to play as) isn't available until Level 35.

I really like it. The only flaws it has is that the framerate can dip a few times when things get too chaotic on screen. Otherwise, it's pretty steady. One of the gameplay choices that I really enjoy is that you can opt easily to play very stealthy or go all out in a gunfight. You have to be more precise in how stealthy you proceed because the AI in Goldeneye is noticeably smarter than other games, including running for actual good cover the moment you start locking crosshairs to fire at them.

That's a shame but to be honest, I myself have been turned off by the game since reviews have come online. I really didn't like what I was hearing about it and I may what awhile before getting it.

Black Ops has not only met my expectations, it's surpassed them like a motherfucker. Best single player thus far. Best multiplayer thus far. Easy.

I was blown away by how much Treyarch have grown as storytellers. As someone who is into the game mainly for the campaign (insane, I know) I was not disappointed. If you're like I was and are a little sketched out because of WaW, it's all good. Be at ease my friend.

If running around dusting fools as Ed Harris can't convince you of this games awesomeness, you can get the fuck out.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops
So far the worst single player of the series (haven't played 3 or 5 yet), couldn't stop laughing during the russian prison/camp scenario.

yeah i think i read the closing comments on ign and 1up, both sites i no longer visit. it is a shame, been playing a lot of fallout but i kept with other m for 3 weeks on a rental, as i wanted to give it another shot

i grew kinda tired of switching to fp, ruined the pace, mid way through a boss battle it didn't seem right. i also didn't think it looked all that great. i'll rent it out again at some point but i'd call it a disappointment, had high expectations

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (PlayStation 3)

Criterion Games really did well with the long running series and making police chases exciting again.

Real cars but arcade action.

Have been playing this for the past week or so:

Should likely finish up Sly 2 today or tomorrow, and move on to Sly 3. Great games. Can't wait for Sly 4 whenever it finally comes.

Right now I'm playing The Saboteur. It's alright, controls are hard and confusing but the visuals and gameplay are tight. So far I'd rate this game a 7/10

Playing Star Wars: TFU, so I can beat it and play the second one.

The game itself is great, with a new storyline that doesn't surround the Clone Wars (thank fucking GOD!). The graphics are fantastic, with the cutscenes really showcasing the graphical achievements. The controls can be shoddy sometimes when it doesn't respond to your commands. The game is unfortunately riddled with glitches, with me sometimes falling through the ground, the game "clipping," and a few occasional hiccups here and there.

Overall, pretty good game thus far (I'm on the last boss), but hopefully things got improved in the second game.
