Whats your top 3 this year

They can be films released this year in theatre or DVD (a lot of overseas films take awhile) Also give a little reason why.

As a disclaimer I have not seen Black Swan yet so this may change.

1 Inception - made you think plus I love Nolan as a director

2 The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Just watched this last night. This movie just kicked my ass from the cinematography to the acting.

3 Winters Bone - Great lead performance and again the cinematography was exellent.

Honorable mention
Centurian - Niel Marshal
Scott Pilgrim - Comic come to life
Rec 2 - not sure if this was released this year I had to buy an all region copy on Amazon.

Also play loose with the rules I did you can name more if needed.

As of right now my top 3 of the year is:

1. The American
2. Never Let Me Go
3. The Social Network

Honorable Mentions: Conviction, Fair Game, Love and Other Drugs and Buried.

The rest of my top 10 include Green Zone, The Ghost Writer and Shutter Island.

Inception, It's Kind of a Funny Story, Alice in Wonderland, Knight and Day and Toy Story 3 are also great movies in what I think has been a pretty damn great year so far!

Can't wait for Black Swan, The Fighter, Tron: Legacy, True Grit, Blue Valentine, The Company Men among a few others.

Still confused whether or not The Way Back will be a 2010 movie or a 2011 movie. But if that is a 2010 movie then that is also one I'm SUPER EXCITED about!

Also still need to see such lauded movies as Winter's Bone, Get Low, Solitary Man and several others.

Top 3

1. Toy Story 3-Itwas handled so well. I couldn't want more from one my favorite film franchises.

2. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World-As both a Scott Pilgrim and Edgar Wright fan, I enjoy the hell immensely out of it. It lacked some substance, yeah, but over time I'd appreciated what it is for what it is even more.

3. Inception-Clever, cunning, and imaginative. All that I want in a good film.

Lebanon - the most intense, viscerally engaging, stylistically bold, expertly crafted, and ultimately unforgettable film I've seen all year.

Blue Valentine - the most emotionally involving and well-acted film I've seen all year.

La Danse: The Paris Opera Ballet - the most mesmerizing and insightful film I've seen all year.

Honorable mention to Putty Hill, A Prophet, and Animal Kingdom as the other true masterworks of 2010.

The Social Network, Boxing Gym, Winter's Bone, Meek's Cutoff, Micmacs, and Toy Story 3 were great too.

I'm dying to finally catch Carlos, Enter The Void, and Inside Job, among many others.

Somehow I've dropped the ball on this one and didn't move it. Well, it's going to the political thread now.

Oh and.....

Inception 9/10
The Social Network 9/10
Toy Story 3 9/10

This will all change in a couple of weeks when I see True Grit.

I still need to check out 127 Hours, Kick-Ass (it's on my netflix queue), Black Swan, The Fighter, amongst others.

1. The Social Network
2. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
3. Four Lions

Other good ones: Inception, Toy Story 3, The Ghost Writer, The Town

There are still a lot of movies I have yet to see, like Black Swan, Blue Valentine, True Grit, 127 Hours, Inside Job, Winter's Bone, Lebanon, etc.

Also, I find it kinda sad that I haven't given a movie 10/10 in two years.

How was the acting or the story terrible? The story and the style its shot in are throwbacks to the paranoia soaked thrillers of the 1960's. Back when peoples' attention spans hadn't been completely fucked by age 8. Its not only intelligent, thought provoking and put together with obvious attention to craft by the crazy talented Anton Corbijn, its also beautiful to look at and features one of Clooney's best performances.
