The Heart Specialist - Rated R for some sexual content and language.

The Man From Nowhere - Rated R for strong bloody violence, pervasive language, drug content and brief nudity.

I'm not surprised about The Rite, but still disappointed. I was expecting a PG-13 but REALLY hoping for an R. Oh well. I'm still looking forward to it. It doesn't damper my anticipation too much. Still looks creepy as hell.

The Rite doesn't look insanely good to me.. but an R rating would have been nice.

Having said that, i was pleasantly surprised with The Last Exorcism and that was rated PG13, so perhaps my rush to judge on a PG13 for The Rite is a bit pre-mature.

Not surprised with Just Go With It rating... it is another Adam Sandler/ Dennis Dugan collaboration.. of which i must admit, I am a fan (Even though Zohan and Grown Ups were very lackluster) I still can always enjoy going to see a Sandler flick, they just entertain me!

How I Spent My Summer Vacation has received an R rating for strong bloody violence, pervasive language, some drug use and sexual material.

For those who don't know, it's a new Mel Gibson prison thriller. I hope it gets released this year...

anyone know what's going on with the rating to HALL PASS?

It still has a This Film Not yet Rated thing on the previews and it comes out in a few weeks.

I'm hoping for an R rating, but something tells me that this was given an R rating already and they are trying to appeal it for a PG13, and that is what is taking so long with an official rating.

and as soon as i ask, i get the answer:

Saw a TV spot for HALL PASS and it was Rated R

sweet... the trailer looks quite comical and it is rated R, so that makes me anticipate it even more. Is this the Farrelly brothers back in form??

excited for Hall Pass and Battle: LA... i was expecting a PG13 for both, but was pleasantly surprised with Hall Pass' R rating and Battle: LA will be bad ass.

surprised to see Diary of a Shithead get a PG rating, with a title like that, it seemed destined for an R, but perhaps the MPAA is going more lax these days!!

Thanks for always updating this thread Oh Dae Su... I always love seeing the newest ratings!

Not surprised for the expensive budget.

Hopefully, it won't be insulting to anyone's intelligence like Skyline.

It kind of sounded like it could be PG-13 after reading an article about the movie in the sci-fi magazine. Let down, but very excited about the movie.

Im really not suprised by Sucker Punch at all. When was the last time a big budget wide release fantasy film got an R rating? Plus the trailer doesn't show any person on person violence and I bet the majority of the blood will be black or green. It really has PG-13 written all over it

A Serbian Film apparently required five minutes of cuts to get a NC-17 "for extreme aberrant sexual and violent content including explicit dialogue."

The unrated dvd/bluray that the USA will get is also cut. ("slightly" they say)

I wonder if they asked the mpaa how much it'd take to get it down to R?
