Hellboy Volume 9: The Wild Hunt
Another great piece in the Hellboy journey! Hellboy seems to be getting more and more tired of the burden he is carrying.
9/10

Can any Hellboy fan tell me what the continuity of the trades are? i now that a new arc starts this Wednesday in issues, but does vol. 10 continue the story, or is it just minis and one-shots? is the upcoming vol. 11 a must read before the new arc??

GAME OF THRONES

Wow, I finally finished it. Not only that, it's the first book I've completed since maybe December 2009!
I tried at LEAST four times previous to finish this book over the last ten years. Thankfully, the TV series displayed all things I considered interesting and/or good from the book, made it excellent and inspired me to finish the last 100 pages that I never completed. However, I started from around page 400 to the end because I forgot most of what happened beforehand.
I liked it. I think the TV series put my mindset into the proper setting for the novel. I could see the people better, had a better understanding of who was who and from what house, etc...
I quite liked it and now I'm starting A CLASH OF KINGS.

3/4

Some of Clive Barker's most fascinating tales, and a few footnotes that could easily be overlooked scanning his bibliography. Even the lesser tales are very expertly constructed and are worth the read in the end, but greats such as The Life of Death and The Last Illusion easily overshadow them once all is read and done.

"The Blair Witch Project (Glow in the Dark Handprint Cover)"

Purchased this more so with it as a collector's item in mind, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it was far less a shameless cash-in as the amateurish Blair Witch novel series. The glow in the dark cover is perfectly fitting for such an unsettling film experience, which is rather misleading considering the cartoonish quality of the interior artwork. Not to say that the illustrations inside weren't well done, and a few panels even surprised me with a trick or two I didn't suspect to see up their sleeve. I almost purchased this one autographed, but never having heard of the artist before and the fact that the signed copy was double the price I decided to pass this time around. Oh, and it came with a nifty Certificate of Authenticity. As Anchor Ron Burgundy would say, neat-o, gang!

Overall Rating: 3/4

A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin
7/10
That wasn't that bad. My only problem is the cliffhanger nature of the end of the book. Most of the other books felt like the end of the book was a definite stopping point, but this feels like a ploy to make you want to pick up the continuation, which won't be out for probably another 6 years. Gah. Otherwise, pretty good book, and I enjoyed reading Cersei's chapters like she was Otto in A Fish Called Wanda.

True comic storytelling, and in an homage to the original DC/Marvel tight-wearing crime fighters. As wildly vivid and thought out the plot is on the surface, the true gem is the undercurrent of political commentary and historical/theological/alchemical/philosophic references sprinkled throughout. Although I feel it overly obvious to give this rating, I wouldn't feel honest giving Alan Moore's The Watchmen anything other than

A CLASH OF KINGS

Pretty good. I would enjoy it more if it was on HBO, kicking my ass episode after episode each week.
I am more interested in Arya's story arc this time around than the others (book one it was Tyrion). However, it was worth reading.

Great book. I liked it better than Patient Zero. I have the new one in the series, The King of Plaques, but I haven't started it yet.

One of the best fantasy books I have ever read. I can't wait to read The Wise Man's Fear.
