Me too! Actually I'll be nominating it for most overrated. And if I could nominate overrated performances, I'd list Michelle Williams too.

This movie makes Marilyn Monroe look like she must have had the mental capacity of a 3 year old. Why would ANYONE fall in love with her! Sir Laurence Olivier had every reason to be pissed at her because of how unprofessional her behavior but for some reason people looked at him like he was being way too harsh! I just didn't get the logic behind anybody's behavior in that movie at all!!!

Could not agree more with this. Well most of it. I enjoyed most of the aspects of the film, sans Michelle Williams who was very phony as Monroe, I was very disappointed with her performance and thought the rather blah film built around her was infinitely more exciting. Maybe its that old time film making look, or Branagh's truly excellent run as Olivier. The fact that I found myself rooting for Emma Watson's wardrobe girl, who seemed like the duh choice for buddy from the get go perhaps suggests something is a little off about the presentation. Can't say I was disappointed, because its what I expected. But bitter vindication is probably accurate.
