Hi all from Australia. I have just come back from the first showing of the Avengers in my area and I must say it has been worth the wait. There is not one aspect of the movie I was unhappy with and Joss Whedon has done a terrific job. The characters were evenly played with and Mark Ruffallo's Hulk was definitely as awesome as the buzz said he was. The humor in it is really good and the action is fantastic. Do not miss this movie!!

The movie get's right into the action with Loki stealing the cosmic cube from SHIELD and putting Hawkeye and the scientist from Thor under his control.

Loki is captured by Captain America and Iron Man and during his return as a prisoner to SHIELD. Thor grabs him right out of the plane which leads to the 3 way fight between the heroes.

Aboard the SHIELD Heli-Ship Loki is held prisoner and manages to escape when Hawkeye attacks with a crew of helpers. An explosion sets off Banner turning into the Hulk and he nearly kills the Black Widow. Thor intervenes at the last second and he and Hulk have a huge fight.

The Heli-Ship is falling to the ground fast and Iron Man and Captain America are nearly killed fixing it.

Hulk jumps of the Heli-Ship attacking a plane and falls to Earth. Loki escapes and throws Thor to Earth in a steel prison and he escapes just before it hits the ground.

The last fight scene is friggin awesome and the Hulk has some fantastic moments in it. The whole final scene is a comic book/celluloid orgasm.

The post credits scene was one I wasn't sure of. One of the alien invaders is meeting with his master and telling him how they basically had their asses handed to them. When his master turns around I couldn't quite see who it was but my mate thought it was the Red Skull but I'm pretty sure thinking back on it that it was Thanos.

There is a death but I won't reveal who.
