20 years later : Close My Eyes Forever
The original song with Lita Ford & Ozzy Osbourne - Close My Eyes Forever was a classic.
![]() 1. It was one the greatest hair metal power ballad ever written and it's a duet with Ozzy. 2. Lita was hot .... the Def Leppard jeans , the big earrings and she rocked the dual-guitar like a nasty threesome porno video. Everything a 15 yo can wish ![]() Well i'm happy to say that 20 years later (89->09) , the song pretty much still rock asses even if Ozzy got replaced by the Queensryche singer ( good choice btw) Close my Eyes Forever '09 ... when she switches guitar on the lead solo , that smile is priceless ![]() some bad choice back in the days might have hindered her career ... like the infamous butt shot. Lita is like 45 now .... still gonna fap to her She's still pretty , still got the voice and still rocking that twin-guitar ... too bad she never got POPULAR by the top40 critera.![]() the younger crowd might not get the appeal but you will once Rihanna is still shaking her flappy tits at age 40. She's going to have a new album out this year that's supposed to be more of her style than what Wicked Wonderland was. |

actually i think Geoff Tate is a vastly under-estimated vocalist ... not saying i'm a big Queensryche fan but Operation:Mindcrime is my favorite concept album of all time ( yes , better than Pink Floyd - The Wall ). I think the "Silent Lucidity" ballad threw me off. It's equally awesome and a blatant Pink Floyd rip-off... and probably the most popular song

Yeah, I can't say I'm a big Queensryche fan but I like them enough. They've got several albums that I like but they're not a band I obsess over. Tate does have some range and Mindcrime is a good album.
When I saw them they played 3 sets. Songs off of Rage for Order (I do like that one), songs off American Soldier (the album they were touring for, it was ok), then songs off Empire (another album I like). No Mindcrime stuff, which would have been great, but I liked what they did. Lita only did three songs between the Soldier and Empire sets. Two songs off Wicked Wonderland and the Close Your Eyes Forever. |
