I'm still loving it!

Then again, i did come a bit late to this party as i only got the game like 3 weeks ago but i really like it. I think Diablo 3's unfortunate faith simply is to be universally bashed by internet trolls as anywhere i go on the net people bitch about the game, yet they have somehow managed to sink in a good 300 hours to it wich seems pretty good value for money if you ask me.

The game starts to stall around Hell difficulty. Playing through the same area's with the same character can get a bit boring after a while. For me i haven't played for probably a week or two but it was more because i've pretty much hit a wall in terms of difficulty.

I think i'm in act 2 of Hell as a Demon Hunter adn i just get over whelmed by the groups of elite/special mobs. I read that the DH is a "glass canon" class (high dmg but low defense) and that i was pretty much going to have to switch to skills i wasn't using or used to keep on surviving.

I'll probably play it some more but i'm in no rush. I started a Wizard so perhaps that will get me back in.

You hit it exactly, all these people complaining have already put 100+ hours into the game. Literally ANY other game that's a truly awesome feat for a modern game to accomplish. But for some reason it's not good enough to Diablo fans.

Yea i started with DH too but got fed up when i kept getting killed over and over near the end of Nightmare so i swapped to my Barbarian wich ive sort of played as an alt and i gotta say ive enjoyed the game a lot more. Missus is playing a Monk and she kicks plenty of butt on it too so it seems melee is king atm.

If you still intend to give the DH a go, hop in the auction house and get your hands on some nifty 500+ dps weapon/s if you havent yet, trick is to look for level 60 items with reduced level requirement. Dont know what the prices are like on the US realm but in EU that stuff is pretty affordable.

They are horrific. If you want even a decent weapon with proper stats past lvl 55 you're looking at dropping at least 100k if not much more. But yeah i've found that improving your weapons has a much greater impact on you then upgrading pieces of armor.

Made it to inferno today with my DH and now ive hit a brick wall bigtime, raided the AH for some level 60 gear with some resistances on em but i just get butt fucked by every single rare group and the ones i manage to down i go home with a few shitty items and a 15k+ repair bill.

Think i'll definately stick to the barbarian as i havent really had too much of a tough time with it yet. Just a shame that there seems to be such a night and day difference between some of the classes.

Yeah the strat i read for playing a DH in Inferno was all about movement to hte point that your main attack is Strafe! It was disheartening.

I started playing again and I got to about the end of Act 2 before I started hating the game again.

As polished as the gameplay may be, this game just has no soul.

A bit of a bump...

Has anyone picked up the console version of this? I did about a week ago because the price dropped. I've created a character in every class and I'm trying to figure out which one I like the best. I'm not very far into the game yet (I think my highest character is 16), but it's pretty damn good thus far! I've got it on the 360, so if anyone wants to play...lemme know!

I've heard it's a really good console port, and pretty much verifies that they intended from day one to release the game on console. Unfortunately you can't do that without severely gimping the PC version, hence the terrible reviews.

Personally I plan on getting the ultimate evil edition for PS4 when it comes out. It's 50 dollars for that, or 30 for the expansion on the PC. May as well pay 20 dollars extra and get the experience that the developers intended the game for.
