What were the results from just the posts in the thread you made? I know it's a pretty small sample size but I must admit I'm perhaps more curious what a list from all my long time favorite members that seemed to gravitate to that thread -- Quentin, Bourne, Lazy Boy, Blankpage, You, etc. -- looks like.

I mushed them all together, so I can't be sure exactly how it would look like with just my thread. I would guess more older films.

Good work. Pretty solid compilation from this site. Although the only one I'm really scratching my head about is Almost Famous. Guess we have a lot of classic rock music fans on here? It's a really good film don't get me wrong but for me its in the 500s of my top 1,000. Also no foreign films which is a bit of a surprise.

Seeing that it's my favorite (or maybe second now, not sure, will have to think about it), I'm thrilled Almost Famous made the cut!

It's funny, Almost Famous was a movie everyone was really riding the bandwagon on for a good chunk of the decade which has since sort of faded out of the collective in-the-discussion-consciousness more and more. Others that come to mind include Oldboy, Pan's Labyrinth, No Country for Old Men, etc.
