'Looper' and 'Dredd 3D' have had a rumored date of 1/29 (on other websites).. The dates that I posted were just projected/guess that were based on REALDVD's "early, mid, late" placement info.

btw I just found this on Blu-ray.com and its A LONG WAYS AWAY. Its most likely an error:

it all has to do with studios, Most Independent studios like Starz, Lions gate, summit, overture, etc they dont keep films in theatres longer then 2 to 3 months

Sony is notorious for rushing films out on DVD (well minus MIB3) so Looper isnt reall a suprise

DARK KNIGHT RISES = 12/3 (FINAL DATE!)

It would seem a little odd for a trailer for The Dark Knight Rises to pop up on YouTube two months after its release, right? Well, it would be if the video's description wasn't bearing a new message. The description confirms that the film will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital Download on December 3. Though the cover for the home video release or any special features have yet to be revealed, keep an eye here for any more updates about the film. You can take a look at the 'new' trailer below.

In The Dark Knight Rises, it has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises has earned $1.058 billion at the worldwide box office.

COMINGSOON.NET (via Superherohype)

(update)

The good folks at Batman-News took note, however, of the December 3rd release date included at the very end of the video's description. Check out the trailer and a screengrab (on the off-chance that the WB removes the information) below.
http://www.iamrogue.com/news/movie-n...-december.html

(update2)

found this on HDRoom:

date of story :9/18

Last night I ran a story indicating Warner Home Video had revealed a Monday, December 3 release date for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray and DVD. Releasing the blockbuster on a Monday seemed weird, but the date came directly from Warner's own YouTube channel so it was a no-brainer to run with.
Today that release date was removed from their YouTube page and Warner isn't saying exactly whether it was incorrect or someone slipped up and prematurely shared it. My guess would be that December 3 is, in fact, the correct date and some poor guy or gal slipped up. Even so, Warner could just as easily have no trouble throwing retailers and everyone else a curve and moving the date a few days in either direction.

For now consider December 3 the "tentative" release date for The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-ray and DVD. More to come as this release fiasco hopefully wraps up.

http://www.thehdroom.com/news/The-Da...-So-Fast/11259

(UPDATEX2)
Update: Warner Bros. has removed the “12/3″ date from the video’s description. You can view the original description in the screenshot above. I’ve contacted Warner Bros. for clarification and will report back if I hear anything.

Update 2: Warner Bros. has now removed the video from their YouTube channel. My guess is that the December 3rd date is valid, they just weren’t ready to announce it yet

I think that is Amazon.de's exclusive steelbook BUT you never know.. Bestbuy might have it to. It's kind of too early to tell if BBY is gonna get that as an Exclusive..

here is the link from which i got that steelbook from:
http://www.hifi-forum.de/bild/bigthe...01_217532.html

All the markings including words point to a possible USA release of the Steelbook....

(update)

Possible cover for The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn in steelbook
http://translate.google.com/translat...ed=0CCEQ7gEwAA

If this new is correct. Then this new image of The steelbook might be BESTBUY's Exclusive version. So, far NOTHING as far as info can be found on 'Legend Reborn' besides the Bestbuy in-store ad that screens in Home Theater.

(MEGA UPDATE!!)

LOL

The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn is an ALTERNATIVE TITLE for 'The Dark Knight Rises'!!!!*

in simple words: 'Legend Reborn' and 'Dark kight Rises' are the SAME PRODUCT!!! I guess u could say that the "sneek preview" that BestBuy had for 'Legend Reborn' was possibly a secret announcment trailer for the Bluray release or the Trilogy pack.

..for ‘The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn’ (‘The Dark Knight Rises’), = "...For ‘The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn’ (AKA ‘The Dark Knight Rises’)".

I also found this: The Dark Knight Reborn - trilogy documentary (Holiday 2012)

(SUPER UPDATE)

Someone over on The Dark Knight forum @ Blu-ray.com said this:

Quote:
December 4th, 2012

Just got an email from an insider saying the date is 12/4; not 12/7, not 12/3. I'd imagine Warner took down the trailer with the 12/3 date
because they were waiting for official announcement, and they posted wrong date.
ALSO....
Yes, there is a trilogy set coming.

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=606
I had a feeling it was 12/4 because this film is no Titanic and the 3D version of Titanic release on Monday September 10th!

It would make sense for Best Buy to get an exclusive steelbook, seeing as they had the Batman Begins and Dark Knight steelbooks earlier this year

Amazon now has PROMETHEUS listed as October 9... 2 days prior to it's purported October 11 date (and a more traditional Tuesday release)

Victory! (As I knew they weren't going to release this on a Thursday)! (Unless Amazon is wrong, in which case I'm still a failure)

Sadly, I have to agree with u on the 10/9. I just found out that Videoeta AND Fox-Connect have changed their dates back to the originally planed "10/9". I wonder whats gonna happen to all of the store end-caps and store posters for the film that have the "10.11.12" on it?

(update)

I jut found this on blu-ray.com forum:

Previously the street date for “Prometheus” was slated for Oct. 11. The studios have updated the street date to Oct. 9.
For the first time ever, Best Buy is offering early access to the digital version of a movie before the movie’s physical release date. Beginning Sept. 23, customers who pre-order “Prometheus” on Blu-ray or 3D Blu-ray will receive instant access to the digital version of the movie via CinemaNow – approximately two-weeks prior to the movie’s street date for physical disc on Oct. 9. Question I wanna know is WHY?

What big movie is there still left to announce?

Right now on our own front page the only movie i see unconfirmed for that date is Expendables 2.. is that a big enough title to scare others away?

Perhaps Ted could pull it's release to Nov 20, that is the only big summer movie without a firm release date (that is if the Dec 3 date for Dark Knight is true)

as much as I love Summer Movie season, it is this time of a year i love even more, cuz then I get to own all the summer movies!

Expendables 2 sure, but there are a few others, while not epic blockbusters, could be enough to scare off an Family Film and a 3D Jackass ripoff.

Hit and Run could be an interesting choice. maybe Universal is going to bump up Legacy, or maybe Lawless bumps up a week

hard to tell, but Expendables 2 is more R and less G. so unless the Threat of Arthur Christmas, Brave, and Paranorman got to Fox. who knows

I forgot about Bourne!

and i am game for Nitro Circus a week earlier.. I am a fan.. not really a Jackass knockoff... i mean, they have similarities, but these are more professional people doing professional attempts... more on the line! More in line with an X-Games than Jackass.

(I saw this in theaters, I love Nitro Circus)!

We shall see... as Real always points out, this time of the year is always insane with release date shifts and all that goodness!

hey I know exactly how you feel. I may work for a specific studio. but I am still 100% moviebuff. I just sold over 5,000 dvds off (copied them all to my hard drive). and I still watch everything. Im watching Moonrise Kingdom tonight and Cold Light of Day. the 4th quarter is always the best time of the year for movie buffs, such as myself, Skynet, Ruly, Mao etc. I may be wrong this year, maybe nothing huge slips into the Nov 20th date, maybe it winds up all smaller titles like Possession, For a good time call..., Bacherlorette, Apparation, and the master. who knows. i love sitting back, and watching all these studios 2nd guess themselves on dates. some because they dont want to lose sales to another dvd, some because they are putting a lot of extras on the dvd.

Just a guess on my part...

Could it be something small & indipendent. Something like: 'Beasts of a southern wild'? Videoeta lists the film as having an estimated date of November.

It still may be... however, let me say this:

1. Blu-ray.com is still listing both Canada and USA versions of EX2 as Nov.20..again,However, if you click on Anazon.ca's hot link to their page for EX2. you'll find that there is no date of release post on the page. They(Amazon.ca) had the Nov.20 date but for some reason they took it down. Why would Amazon.ca list the date as November 20th ans then get rid of IF the date did not change? Canada's date are almost identicle to the USA street dates.

2. Now This "12/11" date was found on a Japanese website that specializes in the reporting of ONLY USA release dates as they are announced. They lists it @ 12/12( A WEDNESDAY). So, you roll back a day and you get: 12/11(TUESDAY). Here is the webiste: http://i.mtime.com and exsamples of what that page holds as well as the 'EX2' date. (info is translated):

Published on: September 14, 2012
Issue Date: December 11, 2012
Ted (Two-Disc Combo Pack: Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet) (the upc Number: 024543598329)

Published on September 8, 2012
Issue Date: November 27, 2012
ParaNorman (Two-Disc Combo Pack: Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet) (the upc Number: 025192155369)

Here is EX2:
Published on September 3, 2012:
Lions Gate:
Booking Release date: December 12, 2012
The Expendables 2 [Blu-ray] (upc No.: 507895043201)

This site is one of the most accurate sites that I can find apart from Amazon.ca and a few other websites that I have found.

I just thought of something! the studio could relese 'EX2' on 11/23 (Friday). The first 'Expendibles' was release on Bluray and DVD on November 23rd,2010(Tuesay)! That's if None of these dates [ above] are correct

After Dark Action arrives on DVD 10/16

Titles:
Stash House
Dragon Eyes
Transit (2012)
EL GRINGO (produced by Joel Silver)
PHILLY KID

Release date: 10/16/12

source: Amazon.com
when searching on Amazon.com.Look for 'AfterDarkAction' on the cover.

I WAS CORRECT IN THAT THESES FILMS ARE NOT APART OF THE DARK CASTLE ENT.

All of the After dark Action films were a Walmart exclusive on July 24th and was not avalible on Bluray and as far as I know wont be.

It is very common for amazon websites to take down the dates after posting. The most common reason, and I believe I already said this before, is that they announced it very early. Most likely they took it down at Lionsgate's request. I have seen many movies that get listed for a certain date, and then get taken down and end up being the same date. The latest example is Men in Black 3. US Amazon had it up for pre-order for so long with no date. Then suddenly they announced for November 30th. Two days later they removed the date. And now it is listed again for November 30th.

So, yeah. Just because amazon.ca is no longer listing date for it doesn't mean that the movie will be moving to another date. It is more likely that they were not supposed to disclose the date so soon and were asked by studios to remove until further notice.

Also, the first expendables came out 2 days before Thanksgiving in 2010. Therefore, it makes sense that the new one will be coming on 11/20 (Again, 2 days before Thanksgiving).
