OT: Amazon.ca list 'STEP UP: REVOLUTION' as have a streetdate of 11/20!! I clearly remember posting a press release with the date 11/27. I even think Amazon.com is still listing a 11/27 date. Could the film have a late date shift sort of like what happened with Prometheus? http://www.amazon.ca/Step-Up-Revolut...dp/B0099KJL2U/ Last edited by Ruly2; 09-23-2012 at 08:57 PM.. |

Highly doubt 11/23. It wasn't a huge blockbuster hit to be getting a special release date like Friday. I am pretty sure 12/11 will just turn out to be a false rumor. We shall wait and see.

you know, I was thinking about all the Animated movies of 2012
Even though I currently work for a studio who turns out Animated product. I thought I would breakdown who I think is a good studio that puts out Quality Animation and Product so in order of Appearance this year.... Disney - Beauty and the Beast 3D. I really am not a fan of Digitally converting a fan into 3D. basically it gives it depth, nothing else, and is just a cheap ploy to get people to spend more money on a product Rating A (just because it is truely a classic) Disney - The Secret world of Arrietty. I have always been a fan of Studio Ghibli. so I really do not have a problem with Disney distributing its product. however because this story is "Borrowed" from "The Borrowers" it feels rather lackluster. although still great animation Rating B Universal - Dr. Suess' The Lorax - I loved the live action Grinch, but hated the Cat in the Hat, however since Horton hears a Who, it has shown that Dr. Suess' Books are far more superior in CGI Animation then Live action. the Story was sharp, the 3D and Animation was smooth. Rating A Universal - Pirates, Band of Misfits - While Technically it isnt animation, its Claymation. I absolutely love Wallace and Grommit, Chicken Run, and Nightmare before christmas. so this actually was a wity good time, and ranks as one of my favorite Claymation movies Rating A Dreamworks - Madagasgar 3 - Bloody Awful, not a shot at dreamworks, but seriously Madagasgar didnt need a 2, so a 3 was pushing it. I find it to be actually annoying at times. I didnt think Kung fu Panda needed a sequel as well. Dreamworks does rather well with original stories, but lackluster in its Followups. and yes that means Shrek too Rating C Disney - Brave - Really its pixar, who really never makes a bad movie, the only forgetable films they have made was A bugs Life, and the Throw a way Trash sequel to cars, which also didnt need to be made. however Brave was Georgeous to look at, story was rich, and the animation was smooth Rating A Fox - Ice Age Continental Drift - and here is where Follow ups work. much like the Land before time Series, Ice Age doesnt really have an end point (except extinction) so they can keep making relative stories to the franchise, I love the characters, Animation and Stories. nothing bad to say Rating B+ Universal - Paranorman - A very Original and Edgy script, very nice and smooth animation, and something Original, Liked it a lot Rating B Disney - Finding Nemo 3D - Ugh, again with the Digital 3D transfer onto a film that wasnt made for it. did nothing for me, I love Finding nemo, so it gets an automatic rating of an A, however the 3D transfer gets rated an F Sony - Hotel Transylvania - I had the opportunity to catch an early screening, again I loved this orignal idea, I was never a huge song Animation fan, something about Open Season bugged me. however this was well done, script was fresh, and the characters fun to watch, animation was smooth and easy to follow Rating B Disney - FrankenWeenie - AGain with the advance screening. its Burton at his best, if you liked Christmas and Bride, you will love this. Its an instant classic rating A- and for the rest of the year Disney - Wreck it Ralph (advance screening in three weeks) Dreamworks - Rise of the Guardians Disney - Monsters Inc 3D Grrrrrrrr so to be honest the only bad animated movie this year was actually Madagascar 3 and thats just because Dreamworks like to suck the life out of a franchise |

All three UK cover arts for 'THE DARK KNIGHT RISES' have been unearthed.
It seems that the UK will be using that fake theatrical poster ( which is made up of the other two theatrical posters) as well as the Cowl collector's edition and the small muti-batman logo for the trilogy set.
Various site claim that the release date for UK and US is 12/3 HOWEVER, Over in the Bluray.com forum for the film. It is said to actually have the date of 12/4 ( becase the "12/3" date was a mistake/miss-type) Source: Digital Spy / IGN Over at IGN, they have postedb (along with other uk covers) an ultral Cool DVD cover.. ![]() If anything... My best guess is that BBY might get the broken Mask edition..i hope. all theses cover are for THE UK Last edited by Ruly2; 09-27-2012 at 07:52 AM.. |

Guess in the end we'll find out sooner or late.. Ps.. Canada's dates are PRACTICLLY IDENTICAL to USA RELEASE DATES. The only thing that may differ is if Canada has a steelbook that Best Buy DOES NOT get ( ie The Lorax steelbook). In simple terms: Expect canada to have the same date as the USA. This EW exclusive will 'Rise' on 12/4
Holy smokes, Batman. The rumors, speculation and general chit-chat can be put to rest.
Christopher Nolan’s Batman epic The Dark Knight Rises will be released on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, and digital download on Dec. 4, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group announced exclusively to EW. The last film in Nolan’s dark, gritty Gotham City trilogy, starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Hardy as brutal villain Bane, will also be available in a limited edition Blu-ray Bat Cowl collectible package — not quite in time for your Halloween costume, but there’s always next year. The Blu-ray combo pack is stuffed with a bunch of extras, from a documentary about the Batmobile, where all five Batmobiles are together for the first time, to Ending the Knight, an in-depth look featuring about 17 featurettes at how Nolan and his production team made The Dark Knight Rises, from Batman vs. Bane to totally demolishing a city street. Both the Blu-ray and DVD include a featurette called The Journey of Bruce Wayne. There are also trailers and art galleries. - http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/09/2...ray-exclusive/ UPDATE Official, Fully Detailed PRESS RELEASE here !! http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146933 Last edited by Ruly2; 09-27-2012 at 09:47 PM.. |
