The map is finally up! http://silenthill3d.com/map/

It appears that they directly used the map prop from the first film to build this map. Although this is awesome for continuity's sake, I wish they had extended the map down further to show the full town.

There are a couple of interesting, spoiler-ish things about the street-views. Can u find them?

The first film ties with Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within as the best damn video game adaptation ever made. It was fantastic. This doesn't look as good but it still looks alright. I'll definitely see it.

I'm in total agreement. Silent Hill is my favorite video game adaptation, and I think it's a great horror flick with lots of style and class. I wish Christoph Gans was returning for the sequel, but I'm cautiously optimistic for this one. At the very least it should be worth viewing simply because of the soundtrack.

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack album for the horror sequel Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Danna and Akira Yamaoka who preciously scored the first installment in the film series based on the video game. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 30, 2012. A physical release is scheduled to come out in December and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

It was fun. I've played all the games and this was a fairly faithful adaptation of the third game (which is a direct sequel to the first game, on which the first film is based). I really liked the actress who played Heather and she and Sean Bean had some great moments together.

The monsters were cool, the CGI was iffy but passable, and I loved Yakira's return on the soundtrack. If you enjoyed the first film, which was also bashed by critics, check this film out for a mindless time at the movies.

What a waste of $6.00 (and, yes, I'm glad it was only $6.00!)! There was no story and just a collection of scenes from the games which sadly didn't make it worth the price of admission. You know it's going to be a bad movie when they have to flesh out the story with multiple repeat scenes. The young actress was passable (she looks like Michelle William's younger sister) and Sean Bean is always good but it still doesn't make it a good movie!

The movie was coool. Given it needed lots of work done to the characters and plot. The movie wasn't meant to win over critics. It's goal was to please what fans they could. As of Friday, October 26th.. 'Silent Hill 2' was #2 at the box office with $3,500,000.

( update)

time: 3:15pm;10/28

From imdb:

This was fucking terrible. I enjoyed the first enough and I do love the original game but wow..I ignored all the critics and decided to judge for myself. I am surprised that this really happened, wide in theatres, in 3D, and yet this was the equivalent of watching boringly violent air, where the fuck was the movie here?! Someone actually thought that this was worthy of being dubbed a finished product? 2/10. I kinda dug the drab, grungy aesthetic, although it didnt really do my boredom any favors after awhile.
