This show is still on?

I watched the first couple of seasons, but then I just lost track of it. It started to feel a bit too repetitive I think.

got into it last week .... running a season 1-3 marathon atm (mid-way into s2 ).

Funny shit. Actually a bit likelike Castle as you don't really care about the case of the week .... it's the interaction between the main characters that is worth it.

The best light entertainment hour long show on American TV.

Always at least fun and frequently hilarious.

Season 3 finale is amazing! One of the best.

not there yet ... just watched the Tuesday the 17th episode which was a great parody of the Friday the 13th movie series.

I think the reason i like this serie so much is because , like Chuck and Castle , it's the ultimate man-child fantasy !

I loved Chuck! Never seen Castle... didn't the lead guy from that show play the captain in Firefly? If that's the case I'll have to check it out. He's a great actor.

The vibe is very similar for both shows.

Good. That's the kind of vibe I like: light and funny. The reason I stopped watching Dexter, even though I liked the show, is because of the constant high level of tension...seemed like they never gave the audience a chance to relax for at least an episode or two :P

What Castle is really similar to is Bones, but all three shows are (generally) pretty light and fun (even though all deal with crime, often murder.)

Bones (the character ) is a socially-ackward character .... highly intelligent yet oblivious to normal convention la Sheldon in BBT or Dr. Bishop in Fringe

Castle is a man-child living out fantasies .... more like Chuck (the character) and J.D. in Scrubs.

The main parallel between the two is that you have a paired couple of a writer with a law enforcement official.

Thanks to the channel Ion, which shows this show ALL THE DAMN TIME, I've been watching this show quite a bit. And I gotta say, I'm really loving it. It's frequently hilarious and I love the characters. In fact, this is flat out the funniest show on television. Much better and funnier than any of the half hour sitcoms that are currently on (possible exception being Parks and Recreation). Why does this show never get any Emmy love?!!!

Also, Maggie Lawson, along side with Stana Katic (I've been watching a lot of Castle repeats lately as well), are my new TV crush! Love them both!

It's kind of limping to the finish line in it's last season on USA.

Having said that, it's had a great run.

We're always going to have Six Feet Under The Sea, Gus Walks Into A Bank, Shawn (And Gus) Of The Dead, The Old And The Restless, Thrill Seekers and Hell Raisers, Bollywood Homicide, Last Night Gus and probably the single best and funniest episode of the series, Let's Get Hairy with the Dybbuk werewolf, Gus contemplating having "half black Fairuza Balk babies" with the guy's sister, plus Polexia (whose ass Gus says "looks like two Christmas hams kissing under the mistletoe") and the Doctor's brassy secretary Myrtle.
