Amour

Directed by Michael Haneke

Written by Michael Haneke

Genre: Drama

Plot Outline: Georges and Anne are in their eighties. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, who is also a musician, lives abroad with her family. One day, Anne has an attack. The couple's bond of love is severely tested.

Starring: Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva, Isabelle Huppert

Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material including a disturbing act, and for brief language

Runtime: 127 minutes

It's almost unbearably bleak and a little obvious in its metaphors and symbolism, but it's another powerful piece of work from Haneke featuring two incredible performances. Check it out if you get a chance.
