Elementary s01-e01/02/03

Not as bad as i thought but it is clearly piggy-backing on the Sherlock Holmes name. Basically , it's just another detective show like Castle or The Mentalist.

Like the BBC show is a modern-day adaptation ( and really awesome) ... Elementary is just borrowing some elements for credibility.

If you are looking for Sherlocky stuff , you'll be bored !
If you just want another investigating drama , you'll be pleased.

Actually Johnny Lee Miller is pretty good if you picture him as a dramatic Sheldon Cooper with a british accent.

6/10

Sherlock- The Reichenbach Fall

Amazing episode and fitting conclusion to easily the best adaptation of the Holmes material I've had the pleasure of both reading and viewing. I can't wait until Season Three to come around to see how they explain the ending of this episode.

that's my main problem with this serie .... only 3 episodes per season !!!

BBC makes awesome TV shows but the quantity is lacking. Luther season 2 only had 4 episodes.

Leverage s05e15 - The Long Goodbye Job

Well , the show was getting a bit retarded in season 5 ( cheerleading school , hockey team , cooking school and other cheap excuses for a con) but last night episode was the best Leverage i saw in a while. Fitting for a series finale since the show is not renewed for a 6th season. Fans got a true ending.

8.5/10

Bones - s08e09 - The Ghost in the Machine

Crime shows are pretty much the same , the gimmick is what stand them apart. Bones got a good gimmick but that doesn't stopped the writers from coming with a pretty original idea for this episode.

This episode is centered around the skull of a deceased and by "centered" , i mean a POV camera like in a porn movie. So basically , it's not the usual Bones episode as characters are directly talking to the skull and there's even the return of Cindy Lauper's psychic character Avalon. Using a simple smoke screen CGI as a time lapse as if the skull if going in and out of consciousness.

Bravo 10/10 .... giving that note not because the episode is perfect but because it is unique since the POV let us in on everyone's deeper personnality. That .. and the fact it is probably one of most touching Bones episode EVER.

That Booth scene only lasted like 10 sec but the military prayer was a nice touch.

new BBC show ... i love BBC

not sure yet where this is going but i like e01 .... historically accurate yet with an original twist. It's a classic detective show but with a good gimmick!

Les Revenants

A french original serie about dead peoples coming back to pick up where they left the living .... and the living being freaked out about it.

I only watched 2 episodes so far in an 8 episodes season but i am hooked even if i know that the conclusion is gonna be a letdown ( thx Lost for ruining the genre ! )

But ... so far ... it's like Twin Peak meet NOTLD meet Flash Forward.

I'm captivated 9.5/10

FYI Pilot : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yQq45Jtcyw it's in french but you can figure out the 1st 4 minutes because there's not a lot of talking. And music is by Mogwai so yeah .. AWESOME !

Touch - "1+1=3" (1.02) - 9/10

This show is pure cornball and at times pure hokum and I absolutely love it. It's actually a very moving show. Sutherland is almost as great here as he was on 24. There are times when this show is so hopeful and optimistic to the point of naivety, but since there are so many shows out there that are dark and grim that something this hopelessly optimistic is actually a breath of fresh air.

Working my way through the Syfy channel's New Year's Twilight Zone marathon. Only a little under 70 episodes to go. I've seen most of the well-known episodes multiple times but almost all of the stories still hold up well. No one could present a story like Rod Serling.

For all the flack it gets, Netflix is a beautiful thing! I don't even watch TV anymore; I just watch it on Netflix.

I've recently just discovered 'How I Met Your Mother' and I'm still watching! I'm currently halfway through season 4.

Before HIMYM, I watched the first season, of American Horror Story. I loved it. It's beautifully demented.

TV is overrated...at least here in the state

Elementary (8/10) - its the one where they (mostly) introduced "M" aka Moriarty as a shadowy figure

been watching

Season 1 (7.5/10) I finally gave this show a chance and have been watching it on Netflix Instant Streaming and while it has good characterization and good stories ...my one problem is that most of the characters (Autobots - in particular Optimus Prime) look like The Hub logo and Optimus has a mouth but at least is not as bad as the one in the live-action movie. I think that the voice actor(Steve Blum) that does Starscream is excellent because at times - and it may be the way he is written as a character - is like he is channeling the Starscream from G1. Not only that but to kill Cliffjumper off the bat..and where the hell is Ironhide? why can't they introduced or at least mention where is Ironhide? Why is he not part of this group? why not give Bumblebee a voice or for that matter Soundwave!? WTH?

I didn't know this was on Netflix! I kind of got excited, but it sounds like you wouldn't recommend it. Should I give it a try this weekend?
