You got good taste.

I'd add

-Drive(2011)
-The Lost(2006)
-Felon(2008)

I'm very picky about newer movies or these directors that think their point of view is different than the same subject matter that's been covered hundreds of times before.

If I was to make a new revised top 100 list, those six movies listed above would be the only ones that would make it. The other 94 would be movies from the 90's and 80's.

Drive had a cool feel to it; but I prefer the film it was based off of, Walter Hill's the Driver. Felon and The Lost are still on my to-watch list. But i will get too them more quickly now.

It had an 80's kind of sleazy feel to it. With the credit sequence of driving and pink cursive like credits rolling. Which I like. Set the tone for the movie. The main difference between the two was with the old one it was a cop after him, with this one the trade off was the mob. I found it interesting.

I'd agree though the older was better. Keep in mind though. The options are pretty limited with a 13 year selection of very shitty movies. In the last 13 years I have only seen about 10 movies that I actually like out of the hundreds I have seen. That's a bad average.

Agreed on this completely.

The Silent Partner is one; it's from 1978 and I talked about it in the most shocking death's thread. Don't watch that clip though as it will spoil some of the momentum of it. It's a really cool film with a clever plot and Christopher Plummer's best work.

I enjoyed both Felon and The Lost; especially Felon. I was never so glad to see
Spoiler:
a bad guy bite it(the guard) plus it was a bonus after the disappointment that was the Lost finale
and it had a really good message.

After #1, the order becomes a bit less certain, but The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is my definitive #1. Hell, it's probably my favorite film since Pulp Fiction way back in 1994.

3. Zodiac (David Fincher, 2007)
