I got Bish Bosch for my B-day and have now listened to it twice...it's on the list already.

It just came out on Tuesday but I can already tell it will be Big Boi - Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. I can't stop listening to it.

If nothing else, I like how Walker somewhat foregrounds his (yes, Beckettian) sense of humor to deter people from making lazy statements about how much of a miserable bastard he must be.

I also love how "Epizootics!" is an honest-to-god pop song. Walker does his thing and does it fantastically, but now I'm curious about a record in this vein.

Also, unsurprisingly, Walker has fantastic film taste: Not One Comedy in the Bunch (Well, One)

Since I posted my list, both Andy Stott and Flying Lotus have gone up in my estimation. That Stott album will be like an end-of-decader. I'm tempted to say it'll be held in similar regard as Burial's "Untrue".

I'm going to pretend that the Big Boi and Chief Keef records came out in 2013, because this is the time of the year where I don't want to digest new music.

I don't know if I mentioned it earlier but the Spiritualized record is his best year and the Japandroids record is difficult to resist.

"She Hates Me" is like on another level than the rest. One of my favorite tracks of the year for sure.

Haven't heard much from 2012 yet, but definitely

Beach House - Bloom
Grizzly Bear - Shields
Grimes - Visions
Crystal Castles - (III)

are the four that stick out and would probably end up in the top 5 if I were to make a top 10. So good. Beach House most especially.
