I've been meaning to start a Clive Cussler thread on here. You beat me to it.

I've only recently got into Cussler's work. I've read Atlantis Found and a few others and I have a few more I'm waiting for the time to read. I'm in to history so I love the historical aspect to his books as well as the way over-the-top storylines. Dirk Pitt is also a very cool hero.

Since I'm just getting started on his work, do you have any suggestions on what to read?

I forget. All I know is I'm practically the only person who reads for pleasure at my school. Oh and I think we might have Deep Six
and Iceberg out in our garage. I'll have to findem' I think we have at least 1 Cussler novel somewhere.

And I have never stolen anything in my life, this is more like a lost and found thing. No really it is! Seriously.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go rob a liquor store...

deep six and iceberg are both pretty damn good novels. the best two are cyclops and sahara if you can find them. but d6 and iberg are pretty brilliant as well.

i sometime get the feeling you and i are propping up the books side of this forum by ourselves dignan....

Sahara movie!!!!!

I read on the net that they are gonna make Sahara. Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt. I read that they were thinking of Steve Zahn as Al Giordino. I like Zahn but as the big tough Italian? no way

I actually like the Cusslers now that they're ghost-written. Much more readable.

A sahara movie should be pretty good. there is certainly the raw material for it in the novel...
