Bale Slams Superman at MTV Movie Awards!

Hey everybody,

For most of you who were watching last night, the MTV Movie Awards was great as always but the best part is when the cast of "Superman Returns" gave Christian Bale the award for "Best Hero" for his role as Batman. When Bale accepted the award, he said:

"Sorry Superman, but Batman is the badass."

He then went on about how there will be more Batman films for sure and that he says his wife is his own personal Wonder Woman. I think this is pretty cheesy but very funny if you see it. Batman truly is a badass and I agree.

I can't say until I see "Superman Returns" who's the badass.
Gotta wait until 2008 for another Batman flick?
What is up with that, Christian Bale? How badass is that, American Psycho?!!

That was awesome. Really one of the only good moments at the awards.
Another funny thing he said was, "I am also glad they got rid of those bloody nipples!" (Referring to the previous Batman costumes)

Bale is the fucking man and what the hell is that tool Brandon Routh going to do about it?

Batman is a badass. He is my favorite super-hero.

Why?

Because he is the only one that is actually human and has no super powers. Just really cool gadgets.

I think it's funny that people are showing this picture when A) Bats is wearing armor and B) coaxed Superman into fighting him at night, when the yellow sun wouldn't be out to increase his strength. Besides, DKR was written by Frank Miller, who is known to dislike Superman and likes to show him either getting his ass kicked or being made to look like an ass (like in the current line of dissappointing Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder series).

Any other time, Supes would have whooped his ass.

True, he does have Kryptonite, even a ring that Superman gave him for just in case purposes. And I agree that Batman is smart and crafty, but don't count the Man of Steel out. He may rely on his strength a lot, but he's not afraid to use his brain when he has to.

I'm a big fan of both Batman and Superman. Batman is the dark and complex character (and yes, the badass), while Superman is who everyone wants to be, and the good guy we all cheer for. Both are great, both are awesome, both are pretty cool heroes in my book.

But, I hate to be the party-pooper here, but, Spider-Man is my all-time favorite superhero, so, go Marvel!!

As for all you DC fans out there, I'm so glad you don't know where I live.

I have always liked Batman over Superman. There is something dark and sexy about him. While Superman was a non-sexual being to me. So I agree......Batman is a badass!

I like both for entirely different reasons, most of which FilmKing2000 already mentioned.

Batman is human, and relies on his smarts and logic to solve problems. He's dark, brooding, rich and handsome. I love the whole idea of Batman because of the fact that he's human, a superhero WITHOUT super powers. That does make him radical.

Superman is an alien, but with radical superpowers. On top of that, he's a total Boy Scout, and I can't help but respect his morals and possitive outlook on the human race. He doesn't HAVE to do what he does, and he's always there for us even when it puts him in mortal peril. He's such a different approach to superhero-dom to Batman (even down to his colorful suit) that comparing the two can be difficult.
