Saw III Clip Debuts at Comic-Con

At the close of the annual Lionsgate panel at Comic-Con in San Diego, the company debuted a clip from the upcoming horror thrillogy Saw III to a capacity crowd of horror fans.

The clip showed an ex-convict, chained up in a school classroom with the ends of the chain pierced through the skin in his hands, feet, back and mouth. Jigsaw's clown puppet from the previous movies then appeared on a TV screen telling him that he wanted to "play a game" and that this was his chance to get out of the chains that bound him his entire life. At that point, the timer started counting down--it wasn't clear what would happen once it hit--and one-by-one, he began to pull on the chains, ripping them out of his skin in gory fashion. He had all of them out except the one that pierced his mouth, the timer hit 0, and the clip ended.

Before the clip, one of the producers stated that they weren't sure whether all of what was showed to the crowd would make it past the MPAA to get the desired R-rating.

Lionsgate also announced that the first trailer for the horror threequel will appear before their upcoming horror film, The Descent, which opens on August 4.

How can they top their twist endings from the first two? When I saw part one of Saw I thought how could they top that ending and in Saw 2 they provide they could but for Saw 3 how in the world can they top that? I know Dr. Gordan really didnt die and he will be the next Jigsaw.

As I've said a couple times, my favorite movies are Saw and Saw II. I got some news that the teaser trailer would premiere today, and I thought it was on the internet. I've been on the Internet all day. Trust me, I'm the most f*cking excited person on this forum for Saw III. After reading this, this has made me so much more excited.

....Did I just read a spoiler?
....GOD HELP YOU IF I READ A SPOILER.
Honestly, I barley dodged a spoiler for the 1st, a dickhead friend ruined the 2nd, I can't take losing the 3rd...

The clip sounds badass...but what kind of game can he play?? It sounds like he was just tortured!...Or did I miss something.

"I want to play a game.....it's called.....rip all the chains off your body, do that and you win.......and .......uh......hey I'm sorry guy, I'm tired and don't really wanna think of a scenario for your death trap......ummmmmm why don't you just pull out those chains and we'll call it a day"

Wow...i've been more excited about the Saw movies then a little boy waiting for x-mas. LOVE this kinda stuff! I have faith that the 3rd will live up to expectations because the team really knows what they're doing. I had the highest expectations for Saw II and it blew me outta the water. It sad they have to end it sometime though :'(

They should just have a SAW T.V. series, where everyone could just send in their most clever torture ideas and the show could show actors in them... like viewer mail.

I dunno, it just seems like the 'cool way to die' line in Adaptation. being beaten to death in the form of a horror franchise.
