Dick Goes Berserk at Shatner Roast

Comedian Andy Dick reportedly went berserk backstage at the Comedy Central "Roast of William Shatner" on Sunday, licking stars and biting a journalist.

New York Post reporter Mandy Stadtmiller claims she watched Dick lick actresses Farrah Fawcett and Carrie Fisher and comedian Patton Oswalt before turning his attentions to her.

He allegedly groped her, tried to kiss her, proclaimed his love for her and then bit her hand, telling her, "Baby, please, put in something nice. They're so mean. I'm not weird. Maybe I'm a little weird, they make me out to be a monster, I'm not a monster. I just want to have fun, baby please."

She also accuses him of urinating in front of her and offering her cocaine.

Okay - I don't know how he is now, but it was 1997 and I was at a club in West Palm Beach when one of my friends came up to me. She looked really, really freaked out and told me that some guy was harassing her to get him cocaine. She wanted me to front like I was with her, so the guy would leave her alone. Well, I needed to get another drink and was going up to the bar anyway, so I told her to come with me and if the guy said anything I'd make a scene.

Well, we go up to the bar, and it was Andy Dick, who I recognized - this kind of made me not want to make a scene because I actually like him. He seemed coked out of his gourd, and when he saw us, came over from his spot on the bar - I guessed he thought I was the guy she brought over to get him coke. He pulled out his wallet and asked me how much I needed, like - no introduction or anything - no respect for being in a public place - just very brash. This made me like him less, but whatever - he's still funny on Ben Stiller and Newsradio.

So, we're standing here, people all around us, and he's holding his wallet out. I'm not sure how I thought to do this, being a bit tipsy, but I take his wallet and look in it. There's a fair amount of cash there. He's watching on, like totally happy to give me money. So I take out three $20s and handed his wallet back. Dick nodded knowingly, like this was how the deal was going to work.

I then proceed to order a round of whiskey sour shots for myself, him, and the girl. I can tell he's really, really anxious, wondering when I'm going to go get him coke, but he's like playing along, thinking I'm just taking my time. We all do the shots and then I immediately order another round. We do those shots. I then tell him we have to get moving and he asks if he can go with us. I tell him I gotta go alone, and that she's my ride. He's like 'Okay!' and walks us to the door. As we are leaving I kind of feel bad, so I flat-out say, 'Thanks for the rounds!" He says it was no problem, rubbed my shoulder, and told us to have a good night.

We didn't go back, and spent a good portion of the night's remainder trying to figure out what exactly happened from Andy Dick's perspective.

So yeah - he's a fun guy and the stories I hear about him all sound about like this one.

I've never been a big fan of the guy; he always comes off as annoying - in real life or in character. I wouldn't be suprised if the guy has drug issues and after reading BubbaStrangeloves's story, it sounds like he does.

I can't fucking stand that guy at all. He's not funny and he fucking ruins the MTV Movie Awards skits since they have to have him on them every year. What a fuckhead!

By the way, I've seen a bit of the roast and it is fucking hilarous! The best bit is with Leonard Nimoy talking to Shatner about why he won't be at the roast. I was in tears from laughing so hard.

Yeah, I should have made it clear in that post - I DO NOT and NEVER HAVE looked like a drug dealer. He was so desperate that he was literally handing me his wallet looking for a score. My friend said he worked coke into the conversation really quickly and when she casually went along with it, he just started acting like a fiend. At first she thought he was a narc, but the way he acted made he worried he was going to rob her crack-head style.

It shows how desperate he was at that point in time. If I'd been a different person, I could have really taken serious advantage of him. From this story of the roast, it sounds like he hasn't slowed down or become more discreet. That's scary. He's at high risk for being harmed or harming himself - more so than your average user. He might end up with the kind of attention he doesn't need.
