SYNOPSIS
To Ava (Haylie Duff) and Tanzie Marchetta (Hilary Duff), adult responsibilities are making sure their shoes are in season, getting into the right clubs, and, in Ava’s case, being engaged to the right TV star. Ava and Tanzie are the “face” of Marchetta Cosmetics, the mega-company their late father built from the ground up, and as a consequence they’ve never had to develop any skills beyond looking good.

Other than the occasional board meeting or photo shoot, the sisters mostly let their father’s trusted partner, Tommy (Brent Spiner) and CFO Craig (Obba Babatundé), look after the company while their housekeeper, Inez (Maria Conchita Alonso), the only “mother” they’ve ever known, looks after their house.

But when Tommy presents a takeover offer from their father’s arch-rival Fabiella (Anjelica Huston), Tanzie takes a stand. She secretly harbors dreams of becoming a chemist like her dad and shudders at the thought of Fabiella taking over what their father believed in so passionately. But Ava and Tanzie’s world is turned upside down when an investigative reporter breaks a blockbuster story that one of Marchetta’s best products is a health hazard. He even has footage of a disfigured victim to prove it.

Suddenly, the news media is hounding the celebutantes for something other than paparazzi pictures. Their assets are frozen. Their staff flees. Soon, their house and car are gone and the two young women who had the world in the palm of their hand find themselves with nothing but the couture on their backs. Is there a even away around Los Angeles that isn’t in the back of a limo? Though the easiest option would be to let Fabiella take the company and walk away with millions, the girls realize they’re tougher than that and set out to get to the bottom of the accusations against their dad.

With the help of Inez and some new friends – a Marchetta chemist (Marcus Coloma) and a free legal aid attorney (Lukas Haas) – Ava and Tanzie will use skills and resources they never knew they had to grow up, clear their father’s name, and in the process, discover who they really are.






Soooooo waiting on DVD for this..... AT least I can't FAST-FOWARD the crappy parts..... Anjelica Houston? Brent Spiner?!?!? Anyways Snakes on A MotherFuckinPlane is goin to outdo this movie IMO and I think MG is gonna rank #5 or below.... I am gonna be SUPRISED if it hits the Top 5 and if this ranks above S.O.A.P. then I am at a loss for words schmoes

Wow, did this get put together in like 2 weeks? Never heard of it until a week ago and it looks fucking terrible.

Wow. This is really being dumped by the studio. I mean I haven't seen not one single commercial for this movie and the only place I've seen the trailer is on the internet. Haven't seen the trailer with ANY movie out.

I knew this was coming out but I honestly thought I was going to hear soon that it was being delayed due to not seeing any previews/commercials for it. Guess not. Not remotely surprised it bombed.

Hilary Duff's career is on life support. She better do something different or she'll be without a career. And she better do it FAST. I actually she she's not without talent but the problem is her movies tend to suck. So hopefully she'll start choosing better.

Bomb after bomb, a small percentage of people still flock to see The Duff in all of her shittiness. I'm suprised this movie managed to get 4 milllion last weekend. It's surpising that Hilary Duff is a failed actress and the media still views her as America's sweetheart.

The movie actually made the Top 10 but thankfully not the Top 5.
It's gonna slide right on down this coming week. Me thinks.
I would not mind seeing Hilary as some demented killer. That would be a flip side of what she safely rather play as a ditzy blonde she normally likes to potray. *YAWN*
