Stupid Movie Sequel Names! (Hilarious Video!)

Hey everybody,

For years and years, game and movie fans from around the world including ourselves have wondered, "Who the fuck comes up with these stupid sequel titles and why?". To that, I found a video on YouTube.com at the link below that is one of the funniest I've ever seen as one guy explains his frustration in both game titles and movie title. He talks about how retarded the translations are from other countries into North America such as Bruce Lee & Jackei Chan movies and so many more. It's full of F shots and it's funny as hell cause the guy is absolutely right.

Found it somewhat funny up until the part about The Naked Gun. That was stupider than the title joke Zucker and Co. made up themselves.

I think it's actually called "The Rise of the Witch King", but it's an expansion pack for The Battle for Middle Earth II, so of course the name's gonna sound long-winded.

I fucking love The Angry Nintendo Nerd. He has the best catchphrase ever, "What a fuckload of shit." He really speaks the truth, whether he's talking about how moronic the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game is, or how sequel titles make no damn sense like in this video. Pretty funny, though I never laughed out loud once; I was actually more interested in the info he was spouting. It was very interesting and very true. The sequel names are a bit trivial and become real complicated, especially when it comes to international releases.

Though I do think the Naked Gun references were dumb; it's obvious that 2 1/2 and 33 1/3 are making fun of the sequel trend. This guy "looking for Naked Gun 2-32" was real dumb.

Was just thinking about what his opinion would be on the upcoming Batman and Superman sequels: no numbers involved - The Dark Knight following Batman Begins, and (possibly) The Man of Steel following Superman Returns.

I didn't find it funny in the first place.
When he mentioned NG, I thought, "what an idiot."
I mean, it's obvious the man has never seen any of the Naked Gun films, otherwise he would know what's up. Dumb@ss.

I agree that the naked gun part was lame. The word 'fuck' stops being funny as well. Otherwise I dug it a lot.

I also agree that the Naked Gun part, while obviously meant to be tongue-in-cheek, didn't work and wasn't funny at all, although attempting to be clever and witty. But the rest is well-observed, and educational to say the least - my knowledge in video game cross-overs is limited.

He should have mentioned the Mother series. How they created 3 Mother games in Japan but only release Mother 2 here and instead of calling it "Mother 2" becuase, well, they didn't bring over Mother 1, they simply called it Earthbound. Then the whole Earthbound 64 rumor thing ontop of that. Gah.

I didn't mean I thought the Naked Gun bit was funny, I meant the rest of the video was.

He could have had a field day with the Hellraiser series, too. Stopped numbering them after III; I still have no idea how many there are and what order they go in.

Oh, no, I understood you. I was just saying I didn't find the video very funny in the first place, and that the Naked Gun segment was borderline offensive (to the filmmakers at least ).
