RHCP Stadium Arcadium tour

Caught the Chili Peppers and Gnarls Barkley last night in O-land and it was a good show. I was very impressed with Gnarls Barkley; Crazy was all I knew going in and I am curious to hear more now. They started right at 7:30 and kept it up for a good hour.

RHCP came on at 9ish and dug deep into Stadium Acradum and Californication through out the whole show. Some high points where John Frusciante covering the Bee Gee’s Shadow Dancing while Anthony took a break and a nice fill jam by Flee and John before the last song. For the encore they finally went deep with Give it away and a few others. Kiedis called it quits at about 10:30 but rest of the guys hung out and treated the crowed to a funky kick ass fifteen minute jam. All in all it was a good show…No lightbulb helmets or crazy matching jump suits, just solid So-Cal feaky styley rock & roll.

Got to agree, I think the only reason it has sold so many copies is becasue it had been like four years since By the Way and a double album to boot. The last time I saw em was back in 92 at Lollapalooza and last night was quite a diferent show...getting old sucks.

Yeah I'm a huge Chilli pepper fan and have really enjoyed watching them evolve as a band over the years. By the Way was a masterpiece. Then Stadium Arcadium came and it was huge letdown for me. Now don't get me wrong there are quite a few really good tracks but so many more just left me on the shore wondering what the hell were they thinking?

I guess you can't win them all. On the subject of the tour this time around, It was pretty decent but I still think their By the Way tour was the best set I've seen of theirs out of the 7 times I've seen them.

I thought Stadium Arcadium was a great album. Not as good as BSSM, or Californiacation... but still, it definitely holds its own.

Really?? I thought it was a great album. What songs made you go wtf were they thinking? Please dont say "Hump De Bump", cause that song kicks ass.

I have yet to see the Peppers live, due to conflicting schedules but I am defintiely seeing them in the summer if they have a tour.

Yeah I saw them in October or November or something like that and it was an amazing show... one of the best I've ever seen, probably. Highpoint's were Frusciante covering "City of New Orleans", (where we were), and "Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge" for encores, and a 30 minute jam session with The Meters. I'm a huge RHCP fan and I think they're the best band still making music today. And although Stadium Arcadium is no BloodSugarSexMagik or By the Way, it's still a great album in my opinion.
