The old editions of The Hustler and the Verdict were perfectly fine.
In fact, I don't think they'll be changing the picture and commentaries.

So, I'll stick with my old ones.

I will be getting Big and That Thing You Do because I don't have them (and they are extended after all), and perhaps I'll get Mrs. Doubtfire and Fantasy Island.

Thanks for putting it into one whole line up bubutthead.

Is MGM also redoing their dvds via Steelbook in June?
Or is Platoon a sole incident?

since i already have the double disc Fight Club, i'll probably skip this re-release (but the packaging it sweet!)

of the others, i'd pick up Big, Independence Day, Mrs. Doubtfire, and RoboCop (if only i could find the Criterion for this in decent shape)

Robocop should definately be in a steelbook instead of lenticular. Already own the Criterion, but since it isn't anamorphic might pick it up anyway,... hope its uncut. Would definately get it if it was a steelbook with the Criterion cover.

I hate that Fight Club cover just because of the color at the very top under the names. What the hell is going on there? Throws it all off.

Fox just can't make up their minds on what to do with their SEs.

What happened to that numbered series they had been working on? Probably the same thing that heppened to their "Five Star Collection" a few years back.

This is at least the fourth version of Independence Day, and possibly the fifth version of The Abyss...

Another Predator, AVP, Fight Club, X2... it's all the same titles they reissue every 18 months or so.

I mean, if you haven't picked them up by now, then go ahead. I already have them all. If Robocop has some special features on it, I may check it out. I already have the Criterion, but it's pretty bare.

So does Fox own all the Robocop movies now? Hopefully Robocop 2 gets an SE.

I'll be picking up a steelbook of Fight Club, solely because it's one of my favourite films.

MGM put out a Robocop boxset a few years ago , which I have , and it DOES include the uncut version of the film. I have checked. It says where all the ratings are on the back of the box that it is NOT RATED and it IS the same cut as the OOP Criterion.

FIGHT CLUB is simply repackaged, right? There's nothing new or different between this steelbook and the 2-disc already out? I have that one, with the collector's number (I see most of you have the version without?).

Too true man. They kind of dilute the coolness of the steelbooks.
