Hurt's new single "Ten Ton Brick"

One of the few radio rock bands that I've been able to digest recently, though I don't and never will like that they chose the moniker "Hurt" for their band name...it just seems too bland and unoriginal.

However, their music, while not being ground breakingly original, is pretty refreshing in my opinion, especially for rock radio. Some songs are pretty mainstream but a couple put a progressive spin on ("Overdose" sounds like a Moody Blues meets metal tune and the lead singer plays violin. "Danse Russe" would go well for those who like slower acoustic). A few of the songs have time signature/tempo changes. Their first hit "Rapture" was a pretty Tool-ish song both lyrically and musically....the music video even had that sort of vibe to it. Their lyrics are definately better than you're average rock radio band too. They also put on one hell of a show.

I think its a pretty kickass new song...pretty hard rocker.

Like I said not really innovative...but definately better than your Hinder, Three Days Grace, Nickelback clones.
