Kinda with the death scenes reminds me of Final Destination Looks Pretty Good. With Cool guy Edward Burns and hottie Shannyn Sossamon you can't go wrong.

This movie looks shitty. I started laughing at it after a while. I'm tired of the Japanese remakes. They're never going to be as good as the original because they worked for their time and culture. They even did the cliche... take the battery out the phone and it still rings which is the equivalent of taking it off the hook. I bet they'll even try to throw away their phones but it keeps coming back.

as i said on the main page, this looks better than every horror movie like it in the past few years. The Grudges, Rings, the one with the girl in the house and the kids, the Fog....all shit.

Well, one thing is painfully clear from the trailer - most of the acting is going to be pretty bad. Love the Hollywood "oh this isn't a horror movie" denial with the "based on the Japanese thriller 'Chakushin ari'"! Thiller, yeah, right. 'Cause supernatural wierdness, threat and danger are the hallmarks of thrillers, as opposed to horror.

Looks like it could either way. It could be pretty cool like The Ring or it could be pretty bad like The Grudge 2.

Same crap as the other remakes of japanese horror flicks. The original japanese version is scary but underrated.

I think I'll take a wait and see stand, and see how it comes out. At least the original was excellent, but, then again, it did have Takashi Miike at the helm. The trailer did nothing for me, except worry about sub-par performances, but I like Azura Skye (her bits in the trailer didn't look bad.)

Doesn't look too bad, but from the reviews of the original it sounds like Miike's most generic film. Did it do that good overseas to warrant a remake. Meh, it's better than the proposed Oldboy remake with ugh Nicholas Cage that got canned.

You're right, it is Miike's most generic film, which doesn't take anything from it, of course. The Oldboy remake has been cancelled? Glad to her that!
