Ving Rhames in upcoming Kojack TV Movie...
from SF Chronicle...
NEW YORK (AP) -- "Who loves ya, baby?" Ving Rhames does. USA television network on Wednesday confirmed plans to produce a movie adaptation of "Kojak," the 1970s police drama that starred Telly Savalas as the stylish, crome-dome Lt. Theo Kojak. Rhames, best known for his role as Marsellus Wallace in the 1994 film "Pulp Fiction," will star in the TV movie. Production is expected to begin this month. Rhames, 43, also is to appear in "Mission: Impossible 3" and as Sonny Liston in "Night Train," both slated for release next year. "Kojak" aired from 1973-78. _______________________________________________ All I am gonna say is that both Rhames and Salvalas are both BALD..... |

Rhames is definitely badass enough to look intimidating with a lollipop in his mouth.
Isn't some R and B singer doing the theme song for this? |

The USA network dares to call their Kojak remake an "original series," which I can guess the bad joke is only fitting.

Kenneth and CJ teaming up again , running around with firearms , only thing missing is the zombies . I'm starting to watch this show because of these two alone .

Just caught an episode of it last night.
I really liked it. I saw the original series back when I was 6 -7 years with my dad. He used to watch it all the time. |

" CJ " is a wussy on this show , what happened , they feminized him , he's all sensitive and caring
. Maybe it's the clean shaven look that takes the edge off . It's still a good show though , not exactly great , but it's a nice way to pass some time , and i still get a kick out of seeing these two guys in action , Ving would look cool reading a tech manual for a dvd player , and CJ is still interesting . Don't expect anything great and you should have a good time with this new Kojack . |

Ving: "Who loves ya, nigga?"
For some reason Ving seems like a good fit for this character. Maybe it is the baldness. But I think they both have a certain suaveness. I mean, if you can pull off suave in a scene where you just got ass raped, you got skills. |

Ving is the ultimate bad ass and I love the way his idea of justice doesn't need to follow the law - he does what he wants.
Show has impressed me so far. |

It's JoJACK, not KoBLACK... another typical fucking rape, of white TV history.
I'm still hoping someone picks up my pitch for "Asian Sanford and Son". Yea... that would rock. |

![]() I personally don't mind, and I don't think there's that much to it. It's a revisitation of it, and if there's a bald actor who can pull off having a lollipop in his mouth at all times and look badass, it's Ving Rhames. So he's black. Big deal. Besides, white people have been "raping" black stuff for so long, I don't think it'd be our place to complain over one little TV show. ![]() |
