Tales From The Crypt - Bordello Of Blood.

So what is the query on this one? I have heard some people refer to it is "Awesome", some as "Cheesy", some as "Cheesy, but awesome", and some as "Just great fun". I have never really heard anyone say anything bad about it... I just watched Demon Knight and enjoyed that to a great degree, so what about Bordello...?

Btw, there ARE some Tales From The Crypt threads, but none directly referring to Bordello Of Blood.

That's what I think. Nowhere near as good as Demon Knight but still fun to watch.

There are plenty of people who hate it, but I regard Bordello of Blood as jaunty cheese. Dennis Miller is hilarious, Angie Everhart is purple hot, the gore is pert, the nudity is omnipresent (that's an exaggeration, but obviously, a movie about bloodsucking whores features topless...bloodsucking whores), and the pace is speedy. It doesn't compare to Demon Knight, but you should get something out of it.

I thought it was a fun movie. It didn't take itself too seriously. Dennis Miller was pretty good in it. Blood and boobs. What more could you ask for?

It's not a particularly good movie, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. Cheesy as hell, but find a movie with Corey Feldman that isn't cheesy and I'll show you... wel you get the idea. I wish they would have left the "Key" from Demon Knight out of it as it really doesn't make any sense. But decent fun all the same.

I liked this movie since it was cheesy entertainment. I just wished that Chris Sarandon had been a vampire and Corey Feldman had been a vampire killer. That way they get to revisit (and put a spin on) the roles that they were known for in the 80's.

Yeah its cheesy fun but no where near as good as Demon Knight.I was kinda pissed watching it because I thought Feldman was gonna have a bigger role then what he did.Dennis Miller was pretty funny with some of the shit he said plus the bobbies were nice but the movie was just Ok

I remember COREY FELDMAN playing ERIKA ELENIAK'S? bro. He was playing pool with his buddies, and I'm sure (SPOILER) he gets turned into a vamp?

Isn't CHRIS SARANDON in it as well, playing some sort of evil reverand?

I'll go with the consensus here, cheesy fun and clearly not the great Demon Knight.

Anyway, is there any region 2 DVD of these two movies ? Play.com doesn't seem to have any, and a quick search didn't help.

Yeah I must watch DEMON KNIGHT again. I think I liked it but all I can remember is that BILLY ZANE, WILLIAM SANDERSON and JADA PINKETT are in it. PINKETT plays some sort of ass kicking cleaner??

Bordello of Blood is a decent, light weight horror flick. Cheesy, but that's a good thing. 6/10

Demon Knight is far superior, to cool for school is what I say. 8/10

BORED-DELLO....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!
Weak, plodding and just plain awful, this was one "Tale" that should have remained in the "Crypt".

I worked at a movie theater when i was in high school when this came out. I remember, i watched it with a few people i worked with the night before it came out, and i've liked it ever since.

Pretty funny with some cool gore, and of course HOOTERS ALL AROUND!

I saw it, not bad, not great.
"Yeah? Why don't we take this out back?"
"Nah, that's ok, I'm not in the mood for a blowjob."

YES! Great line.

But overall - 5/10.

Bingo, as it was used for DEMONS, not VAMPIRES. Evil all in all, but not the same KIND of evil.

Agreed, I was laughing at the fact Chris Sarandon was battling the vampires, and Feldman was agreeing with the head W(B)itch (Lillith) that it's GREAT being a vampire.
The Lost Boys:
"Holy shit! Your brother is an honest to god, shit-suckin' vampire!"

I give it 9/10. Great stuff. If it's cheese, then I must be a rat, because I ate it up. Angie Everhart was absolutely stunning as the madam. Dennis Miller was at his comic best. Erika Eleniak was wonderful as well. This has everything I hope for in a flick. Beautiful girls, gore, violence and lots of nudity.

Two thumbs WAAAAAY UP!

I remember seeing this one in theatres, I've watched it countless times on video/dvd since then.
i thought it was alot of fun. It doesn't have the sense of darkness that Demon Knight does, but it has more than enough entertainment value to make up for it.
Miller was hilarious, Lilith was a cool/hot villain, some great gore and special effects... it's an awesome popcorn movie.

I think the reason I wasn't crazy about this the first time I saw it was because I was expecting it to be as good as Demon Knight (which it isn't imo) but rewatching it I see that it is a damn entertaining movie, and Dennis Miller does rock in it.

I used to watch this on cable (Comedy Central??) all the time in the late 90's and it really grew on me. Just a dumb movie all around. Dennis Leary is great. A seemingly never ending supply of nudity. Corey Feldman in his final theatrical role of any kind. What more could you ask for? Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

It's not as fun or cool as Demon Knight but Bordello of Blood is still cheesy and flithy fun. The pace is fast, the gore is plentiful and it has enough nudity to please any horror horndog. Fun times all around.

7/10

Can't wait for Season 6 of Tales to be released.
