Another week packed with flicks I wanna catch...

From work, I'm gonna try to pick up GARDEN STATE, CODE 46, and BENJI OFF THE LEASH (shut up...). I wanna Netflix that WAKE UP, RON BURGUNDY DVD (unless we get it with the new shipment at work), as well as UN CHIEN ANDALOU and THE TWILIGHT SAMURAI. I'll catch GHOST IN THE SHELL 2 when I finally get off my ass and watch the first one.

I shall be renting Anchorman, Open Water, Garden State, Wimbledon and Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Out of all that I mentioned, I've only seen RE, so it'll be good to see some new movies.

I'm more interested in seeing THE TWILIGHT SAMURAI and CODE 46 than any of the bigger releases. OPEN WATER sucked, and GARDEN STATE, while initially a quirky little gem, became too desperate on second viewing.

Anchorman...Will Ferrell is a genius--I love the man.

Maybe Garden State, to see how it holds on a second viewing.

Resident Evil 2 , no doubt about that one as a purchase . The rest are pretty much rentals , unless i hear Anchorman has some killer extras or additional scenes and not just unfunny filler they cut for a reason .

Open Water was somewhat compelling for the first ten minutes they were stranded , then it just became redundant and snore inducing , and i heard the actors were never in the water as the same time as the sharks , or whatever , the movie blows chunks . I still may rent it just to see the extras .

Garden State is a def rental , it looks pretty good .

Wimbledon and Wicker Park , not even with a rent 10 get one free rental would i watch those .

The one i really want to see , besides RE 2 , is Time of the Wolf , the post apoalyptic film from France starring the always terrific Isabelle Huppert ( the babe that was in the Piano Teacher among other excellent films ) . Heard it's not an action film , but a serious drama about how a family deals with the end of the world , it sounds great .

Rent: Wicker Park , Resident Evil: Apocalypse , Open Water , Garden State
Bought: Anchorman Gift Set

The store I went to also had Troy out a week early for some reason. I would've picked it up had I not hated the movie so much.
