Resident Evil 2 lack of music

My friend Let me borrow RE2 and after seeing it , It was almost not a horror movie at all.
It lost all of the charm of part1 which was horror mix with lots of action, where as part 2 is just action and no horror.
But the part pissed me off was the music.
Part 1 had a beautiful score by Marilyn Manson.
Part 2 had almost no music.

BTW, GOOD LUCK making a back-up copy
(it's hard but, still very POSSIBLE!)

I know! I know! I felt the lack of Manson's extraordinary musical touch most especially in the scene in which Alice (Milla) crashes through a stained glass window on a Harley. The music was some lame-ass score, I thought the movie would have been improved five times if there had been some badass rock and/or techno. I mean, they go from Slipknot, Manson, and Prodigy to some friggin' studio soundstage sheet music? DAMN THEM!! **shakes fist**

I didn't really care for the score in the first one. Manson sucks pretty much since a few years and Slipknot has always sucked the shit right out of Bob Saget's ass. Some flat poppy nu-metal sounds, I wasn't missing them.

Of course studio soundstage sheet music isn't worth much either. But at least it fits the movie, in it's sucking out the shit Slipknot's left in Bob Saget's ass.

One thing that you forgot to mention is that this movie was also missing any kind of gore or more importantly scares!

I think what would have improved this movie is if it didn't exist at all.

Ditto the first one.

Although I disagree with your opinion of Manson, I just had to say that your "...sucked the shit out of Bob Saget's ass." line is extremely clever, did you make it up yourself? (BTW, I'm not being sarcastic. I sincerely thought that was funny. God, I hate that America's Funniest Home Videos goober.)

Thank you! My friends think I'm becoming sick because I'm just not impressed by RE2. Personally, I thought it concentrated too much on Alice on an emotional and mental level. And the whole entire part at the school was so...tame? **SPOILERS** When the kids were eating Terry, you saw NOTHING! And all the stuff with the dogs was very poorly done. It shouldn't have even been in there since dobermans were covered in the first film. Also, the zombies were majorly downplayed. They just didn't seem that threatening. I mean, in the graveyard scene, it only took Alice, Valentine, and a wounded officer to get through dozens(?) of the living dead, without using weapons. In the first film, this was highly unlikely. **END SPOILERS**

-inserts random comment about hatred for RE2 here!-

Ive run out of witty things to say to bash this movie, but i despised the first ones "score" and found the lack of music to actualy work better.

...movie still blew worse then the first one however.

Thank you. Yes, I made it up myself.
By the way, I can also still highly enjoy Manson's first three albums, and Mechinical Animals can sometimes please me too, but I was very disappointed at his later work.

Oh I just do not give a shit, I hate their music whatever the fuck they are. All of that crap went onto the credits where they belong and not the movie. I loved the movie, I thought it was great and it entertained me. Sorry if I hit a sensitive area but I hate all that screaming shit music.

So what type of music would you call it? I hate that screaming stuff as well, can you even classify it as music?

Personally I really liked the score to RE2. It was an actual score and not just some rock put in there. I especially liked the theme that played during some of the scenes featuring Nemesis.

You need mental help. You're taking that shit way too personally.

There were two composers. Marco Beltrami and Marylin Manson,

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=music

Manson only made a couple of tracks. Marco did all the scoring. I agree I loved the creepiness of the score. Beautiful. That was the only movie that had me feeling scared. Why most people don't like it, I don't know. It was a good movie.
