Golden Schmoes. How'd you vote?

It's Golden Schmoe time. This thread is just here to ask how everyone voted and discuss/argue/bitch about it. If you're too shy to post, you don't have to, but I'm not ashamed. If there's already a thread like this, well, this one can be deleted.

Anyway, here's my choices:

Favorite Movie of the Year: Spider-Man 2
Worst Movie of the Year: Catwoman
Best Director of the Year: Michel Gondry
Best Screenplay of the Year: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Most Overrated Movie of the Year: Fahrenheit 9/11
Most Underrated Movie of the Year: The Butterfly Effect
Trippiest Movie of the Year: The Butterfly Effect
Best Comedy of the Year: Anchorman
Best Horror Movie of the Year: Shaun of the Dead
Best Animated Movie of the Year: The Incredibles
Best Sci-Fi Movie of the Year: Hellboy
Best Special Effects of the Year: Spider-Man 2
Biggest Disappointment of the Year: Alexander
Biggest Surprise of the Year: The Butterfly Effect
Best Actor of the Year: Jamie Foxx
Best Actress of the Year: Kate Winslet
Best Supporting Actor of the Year: David Carradine
Best Supporting Actress of the Year: Cate Blanchett
Breakthrough Performance of the Year: Bryce Dallas Howard
Favorite Celebrity of the Year: Jamie Foxx
Coolest Character(s) of the Year: Dr. Octopus
Best Music in a Movie: Collateral
Favorite Movie Poster of the Year: Hellboy
Best Trailer of the Year: Spider-Man 2
Best DVD of the Year: LOTR: Return of the King (Special Edition)
Best Action Sequence of the Year: Elevated train sequence
Most Memorable Scene in a Movie : The newsman rumble
Best T&A of the Year: Elisha Cuthbert
Best Line of the Year: Collateral

Any disagreements? I was really upset not to see the Anchorman line about "a whale's vagina" not make it to the finals. That was my favorite line of the year, and it seemed that a bunch of folks were nominating it. Anyway, I didn't really plan on voting for Gondry either, but when I look back on the job he did, I thought it was rather impressive. Oh, and coolest character of the year was the hardest category for me. I loved every one of those choices. I almost went with Bill, but something made me go with Doc Ock.

I thought TEAM AMERICA's "MATT DAMON!" would be a shoo-in, m'self. On the other hand, I'm a little sad to see CELLULAR's classic line, "It's a day spa, you fuck!" miss the list (the same goes for my favorite line of the year, the DOGVILLE line I've already gushed over to no end). Still glad to see DODGEBALL make the noms, though.

I didn't save my ballot but here it is from memory:

Favorite Movie of the Year: Eternal Sunshine
Worst Movie of the Year: The Village
Best Director of the Year: Martin Scorsese
Best Screenplay of the Year: Eternal Sunshine
Most Overrated Movie of the Year: Napoleon Dynamite
Most Underrated Movie of the Year: The Girl Next Door
Trippiest Movie of the Year: I Heart Huckabees
Best Comedy of the Year: Shaun of the Dead
Best Horror Movie of the Year: Saw
Best Animated Movie of the Year: The Incredibles
Best Sci-Fi Movie of the Year: I, Robot
Best Special Effects of the Year: I, Robot
Biggest Disappointment of the Year: The Village
Biggest Surprise of the Year: The Butterfly Effect
Best Actor of the Year: Jamie Foxx
Best Actress of the Year: Kate Winslet
Best Supporting Actor of the Year: David Carradine
Best Supporting Actress of the Year: Cate Blanchett
Breakthrough Performance of the Year: Bryce Dallas Howard
Favorite Celebrity of the Year: Jamie Foxx
Coolest Character(s) of the Year: Vincent
Best Music in a Movie: Eternal Sunshine
Favorite Movie Poster of the Year: Saw
Best Trailer of the Year: I Heart Huckabees
Best DVD of the Year: LOTR: Return of the King (Special Edition)
Best Action Sequence of the Year: Elevated train sequence
Most Memorable Scene in a Movie : The ending (Saw)
Best T&A of the Year: Elisha Cuthbert
Best Line of the Year: "No, I shot him. The bullets and the fall killed him."

Overall I thought the noms were decent tho I wish there was more of a presence of the December movies. I did like Sky Captain, Garden State and even though I couldn't find a category where they were the "best". I also like Shaun better than Saw but I feel Shaun is more of a comedy so I put it on my ballot as best comedy and best horror to Saw to spread the wealth which I did in some cases (I, Robot (8/10) for Best Sci-Fi instead of Eternal Sunshine - which really doesn't belong there, it's already in enough categories). And i even managed to give The Village (2/10) something for Breakthrough Performance.

Ass. I guess I walked into that one. I meant, who did you vote for in each category? Satisfied? And further, what do you think of everyone's choices so far?

Wow. It looks like Eternal Sunshine is the lead for favorite movie. This gives me hope that the maybe it will win instead of the overrated Kill Bill Volume 2. Hope that continues!

Would it be wrong of me to think everyone who's voting the village as worst movie ain't seen catwoman?

The village has flaws but compared to crapwoman it's fantastic.
