Bai Ling cut from Sith?
http://entertainment.excite.com/celebgossip/pgsix/id/05_03_2005_1.html
Bai Ling Cut From Episode III Posted By Britany on May 3, 2005 Page Six reports that Bai Ling, who was cast as Senator Bama Breemu in 'Revenge of the Sith', has been cut from the film: BAI Ling was cut out of "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" after it was announced that she was posing nude in Playboy, the disappointed actress claims. The sexy Chinese-born Ling, who was supposed to play Senator Bana Breemu in the final installment of the "Star Wars" series, burst into tears at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of "The Beautiful Country" the other night while she was describing how her scene was snipped: "I just found out that my part has been completely cut out of the upcoming 'Star Wars' movie. I do not know what happened," Ling said. LucasFilm spokeswoman Lynn Hale told us that Ling's sole scene was cut more than a year ago. "It was just one scene," she said. That's too bad... Boo hoo.
Did she really think she was cut for her Playboy shoot? Hell, Ewan McGregor has shown his willy in his fair share of movies and Lucas didn't give a crap. |

That was fucking funny. I feel bad for her in a sense that she was going to be apart of the Star Wars saga and they cut her out, however, I don't think it was because she showed her tits. When in the hell did she think they were going to release those pictures? Of course they're going to show them at the time when Star Wars comes out. If Sith is going to be big, that's when the issue will sell the best. |

Issue In Question
I don't think her scene was cut because of the posing. She's just a friggin' Senator, so I doubt her role was that big to begin with. She can always make the deleted scenes for the DVD. |

Lucas Responds To Bai Ling's Claim
Posted By Philip on May 4, 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE GEORGE LUCAS RESPONDS TO ACTRESS BAI LING'S CLAIM THAT HER SCENE WAS CUT FROM THE LAST "STAR WARS" INSTALLMENT BECAUSE OF HER PLAYBOY PICTORIAL Lucas: "My Daughter Was Cut As Well" SHOW AIRS ON MAY 4, 2005 BURBANK, Calif. – May 4, 2005 – In an interview with "Access Hollywood's" Tony Potts, director George Lucas responds to actress Bai Ling's claim that her scene was cut from the final installment of his "Star Wars" tale, "Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" because of her spread in Playboy. The interview airs on "Access Hollywood," Wednesday, May 4, 2005 (check local listings for time and station) and can be viewed at http://www.accesshollywood.com. "My daughter is in that same scene," said Lucas. "My daughter was cut as well." To further illustrate that cutting Ling's scene was purely an editorial decision, the famed director added, "My other daughter was in another scene and that was cut as well." "Access Hollywood" is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K. Silverstein is the executive producer. |

If I were Lucas I would have cut her ass out too. Stupid bitch. It's one thing to pose nude, it's another to exploit someone else's work especially when that someone else is GL and has gone to great lengths to make his films family films and for the children. I am a big porn fan and love to see naked women, but even I agree that cover is just wrong. |

I wish that I could get a copy of that magazine, but a subscription is far too expensive here in canada for a working class fellow like myself, and the few places that DO sell Playboy sell out so fast, I missed this one!!
I want it sooo bad damnit! |

This isn't even the most controversial thing in the issue. I know the real reason she was cut. Who knew Bai Ling was Al Qaeda's deadliest killer? We can't have terroists frolicking around in our films.

I'm thinking George wasn't to happy with that cover. It is pretty bold.
Oh, and I saw her "spread" so to speak, last night. Interesting tatoo down south of the border and also the "Butt Cap" in back. Some kind of Tiger. If anyone else has seen it, you notice her Lightsaber like nips right away! GIGANTOR! |

Lucas has said repeatedly that he had cut out that scene months and months ago. Though, he may just be stating that for publicity...
The world may never know |

P.S - I don't understand the media fuss about some shite actress cuts out of some shite scene. Although, I suppose the only reason it has got media coverage is because of her titties (I like the way they make her out to be a Jedi on the front of Playboy). |
