Jurassic Park

Some SPOILERS!!!!
Ahhh the good old days. This one the first cinema experiences I can remember. I was five when this flick graced the screen and has remained one of my favorites till this day!

Leave it to Ol' Steven Spielberg to bring me some of my favorite movies ever. JAWS, Monority Report, Close Encounters, and this puppy. The man is a certified genius, a living legend! My all time favorite director.

An excentric billionair named Hammond has created a theme park in Costa Rica that has the worlds first genetically cloned dionsaurs. After an unfortunate accident, Hammond must prove to the big wigs that Jurassic Park is save by bringing in experts to approved the place. Well, shit goes down and fuckin' dinosaurs are runnin' loose!

Based on one of my favorite books, Jurassic Park is a perfect summer spectacle. Action, adventure, Spielberg, dinosaurs and Jeff Goldblum! This movie blew peoples minds with its amazing special effects. The film was made in 1993 and nothing like JP was ever seen before in terms of sheer amazing digital technology. Believe it or not they actually wanted the dino's to be stop motion! Lucky for use the big man Stevey chose ILM.
On a charecter level the everyone here is likable except for the little shit head attorny. what a shmuck! Im glad he got eaten. Anyways, dont look for charecter study here, this film isnt about that. But Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum were great at there roles, Goldblum stealing the show ass the excentric mathamatician Malcom. Laura Dern was looking cute and did good ass well.

The T-Rex attack was and still is amazing to watch. that freakin think looks real! But there is one major plot hole in the scene. Where in the hell did that cliff come from! It doesnt bother me in the least but all of a sudden its there. As Dr. Grant and Hammonds two Grandchildren are stuck in the park, gettin' chased by the damn Rex, Goldblum and the rest of the gang have to figure out how to get the park up and running again. Its not soon before we get my favorite dino's in the show. the Raptors baby. These fuckers are bad ass. And scary. The kitchen scene is still the one of the most tense scenes I have ever seen!

The film works great as good story as well. It raises an interesting question. Can creatures that have been exctinct of 65 million year come back suddenly an eventhing be hunky dory? Nope. Unexpecting thing can and sure as hell do happen! Thats were the chaos theory kicks in. Where a seemingly controled enviorment can have uncontrolable and dangerous developments.

The score is composed by another master. John Williams. The man behind JAWS, and Star Wars. Williams brings an exciting and very beautiful score to the movie. One of my personal favorites. The action is also great, the real looking CGI Dinosaurs kicking my ass left and right. Not to mention the awesome animatronic dinosaurs created by the man Stan Winston. The dude behind T2, Aliens, Predator, and Wrong Turn.

Jurassic Park delivers on all fronts. Great story, very good acting, amazing score, Steven Spielberg, and still the most beleivable CGI ever on screen.

Jurassic Park is a classic. the whole cast is excellent and make their characters very believable (especially Goldblum), i was also surprised by how good the kids were. the cinematography and Spielbergs direction are also amazing and they build up scenes perfectly such as with the first sightings of dinosaurs and also manage to create a lot of tension such as those involving the raptors and tyranosaurus. the score is also one of the most memorable ever and fits the film perfectly. the dinosaur effects are amazing and still look great today and look very real. the film is never boring and is entertaining from beginning to end

10/10

The T-Rex attack on the kids remains one of the coolest monster moments ever filmed.

I love how Spielberg gives the film that feeling of spectacle and grandness, like we are truly watching something thats hasnt been seen in 65 million years.

Goldblum is the best character in the flick for me, and thats why it was no surprise to me when he was the main character in the second flick.
