Kate Hudson lashes out on British Journalist over unflattering article

from dailydish

HUDSON HITS OUT AT BRITISH JOURNALIST

Actress Kate Hudson has slammed a British journalist for writing a less-than-flattering article about her recently.
The 26-year-old actress had traveled to London to promote her new thriller, "The Skeleton Key," and was horrified to learn that one of the results of her trip was a July 28 article by the Guardian's Helen Pidd describing her as dull, "scrawny" and unfriendly -- until "the microphone was switched on."

Pidd, who sniped that Hudson had a head too big for her body, described the actress as having a "reluctant, limp handshake and grumpy, yawning pout."

She also accused Hudson of having "that slightly nauseating American habit of repeatedly declaring herself 'blessed.'"

The actress has refused to take the criticism lying down -- her representative Brad Cafarelli says, "(Pidd) obviously didn't meet the same warm, funny, enthusiastic Kate that spoke to countless (other) journalists.

"The unpleasant tone of this article says more about the writer herself than Kate. The losers in this story are the readers of the Guardian, for being subjected to this girl's [bleep] diatribe."

It's not like she's helping to disprove the article.

You know, if you are going to be a asshole to a celebrity. Then you deserve to have your ass handed to you.

Im with Kate on this one, the reporter sounds like an overcomplicating bee-yatch.

Here's another quote that the reporter said:

""That is so not important," following it up with a dazzling smile. It's like being one of the dweebs in Mean Girls."

What’s up with this reporter? She has some vendetta against her, and her culture it seem... the way she explained things made Kate seem stuck-up and obnoxious, which I guess turned out to be false. If I’m the only one who saw this, I guess I’ll just shut up.

More lame quotes are required, so post them.

As hot as she is, I dont find it too hard to believe that's how her real personality would be.

Besides the fact that the reporter exaggerated in the report? Hmm, I understand neither of us actually knows for sure, but… like a dweeb from MEAN GIRLS? Ca’ mon’, that’s lame.

Not once did I say I believed it. I said I dont entirely find it hard to believe. It's not possible she's a diva? I'm not believing it, but I'm not rounding out the possibility.

Sorry, I might have worded that wrong, it’s not what I meant at all… I’m also not doubting that possibility either, but from the circumstances at hand I’m saying it’s not likely that she was a snob to the reporter.

That article had ZERO depth, except that the reporter was trying to grab every insignificant little detail to make Hudson look bad. I mean the reporter was working REALLY hard to make Hudson look bad, by giving detailed description of handshakes and other ridicilous details.

What an ass. I'm definitely siding with Kate on this.

Yeah, it's obvious the "writer" (I use the term very loosely) had an axe to grind and was nitpicking, but it's not completely far-fetched either way.

I don't understand why everybody is getting on the defensive here. Judging Kate merely by the airy-fairy fucking nonsense she spouts about "experiencing" Bob Dylan I'd say she registers a solid 10 on the twatometer!

The Guardian isn't a tabloid rag, and they don't burn bridges with much-loved A-listers for sport.

She's always seemed like a vacuous, dippy, obnoxious shit anyway.
