It looks hilarous. Jack Black is one of my favorite actors. Also, with Jared Hess at the helm, I shouldn't be able to stop laughing.

Based on the trailer and commercials, this movie actually looks like it will physically painful to sit through.

I don't understand... I completely totally, utterly HATED Napoleon Dynamite, but this looks pretty funny. Could it be that he can actually do different kinds of humor instead of the same stuff over and over? I hope so, cuz I don't need this to be another "cultural phenomenon" with emo kids quoting the movie and putting stickers and such everywhere with the lamest quotes from the movie.

this movie looks stupid, unoriginal and totally unfunny to me...maybe that's just because i absolutely despise Jack Black....the man can flat out not act and is not funny..he seems to be trying to hard to be the next funny overweight star a la John Belushi and Chris Farley

This movie looks hysterical. Jack Black rarely lets me down so I will be there. Now if only the Tenacious D movie would come out, then I will be set for life.

I'm really looking forward to this one. It looks absolutely hilarious. I thought Napolean Dynamite rocked, so I hope Nacho Libre is just as fun. I'm so there!

That fucking animated advertisement on AICN needs to be taken down...now, when I think of Nacho Libre, all I see is him dry humping Harry Knowles in the face...barf....

Hey, I'm a wrestling fan as it is, I don't need to be reminded of the unintentional dry humping that comes as a result of two men rolling around on the canvas!

I would be seeing it, but so many fucking theatres are doubling up on some movies that my theatre isn't going to get it. A theatre an hour away from me has X-Men: The Last Stand and Cars playing 16 times each per day.

I think this looks like a really fun film. I also think it's being released at the perfect time too. Hopefully gonna check this out sometime this weekend.

Yep, Mike White (who also wrote The Good Girl, Orange County, and wrote and co-starred in this bizarre little indie called Chuck and Buck).

I swear to god Ana de la Reguera looks SO much Penelope Cruz she could be her twin sister! She's very easy on the eyes.

Sadly, that's all this movie has going for it. I'm not going to mince words here. This is one of the worst movies I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. If the audience I was with is any indincation, this will likely be a hit as almost everyone around me seemed to be laughing and having a good time. But I just sat there almost completely stone faced for nearly the entire movie and that's when I wasn't dozing off. Despite the awful trailer and commercials, I actually did go in wanting to have a good time. Still, needless to say I had low expectations. But no amount of low expectations could prepare me for truly awful this movie is. I think I may have chuckled twice and that's it. And even then it was more out of desperation than out of genuine laughter.

In the right role, Jack Black can be an immensely appealing actor (High Fidelity, Orange County, School of Rock, King Kong). This is not that role. What Black does here isn't acting. He's mugging infront of the camera. It's an irritating, finger nails in the chalk board performance. And it's not even the worse performance in the friggin' movie!

It's unfathomable to me that this drek was written by Mike White. I can't believe the same guy who wrote Orange County, School of Rock and several episodes of Dawson's Creek was the same guy that wrote this movie. Unbelievable.

I didn't think I would see a worse film than Ultraviolet this year. I was wrong. This is even worse. I'd say that I don't think I'll see a worse movie than this for the rest of the year, but after saying that for Ultraviolet I'm actually afraid to. But this is about as painfully unwatchable as comedies get. Ugh. EXTREMELY UGH!

I chuckled enough at it to recommend it to someone who's looking for stupid humor. It was short, which also helped it's cause.

Stupid humor has its moments, and this was one of those moments. It is also possible that my love for Jack Black drives that theory

Completely devoid of any real humor, much like the director's previous film, Napoleon Dynamite, save for the times when Jack Black actually gets to be Jack Black. The film has a dull, dry, utterly obnoxious aura to it, and it barely passes as a children's slapstick film. Skip it.

Very funny and surprisingly uplifting.

It was a nice reminder of why Jack Black is the only comedian other than Will Ferrell that can get me in a theatre based solely on his name.

*Spoilers*

"Napolean Dyanmite" has grown on me. I admit it, I didn't like it the first time I watched it, but now it is freaking hilarious.

"Nacho Libre" seemed to have the same elements that made "ND" so enjoyable. Same camera angles, same goofy characters, same type of off-beat soundtrack. However, this film tried too hard to be like it's distant cousin. I'll admit, I laughed my ass of everytime I saw that little chubby Mexican kid. I don't know why, but that kid got to me. Jack Black had a couple of funny moments, most however were the scenes we all witnessed in the trailers. The plot was sorta lame-o, but what did we all expect?? I found myself to be a little annoyed about 2/3 of the way through. I wanted it to end sooner rather than later. We all knew he was going to fight Ramsey(?) and prevail. I just figured the journey there would have been a little more pleasant. A little disappointed in this flick, mediocre at best. However, the box office take should be very high for this summer movie.

I wish they would have done something MORE with that kid, like maybe turn him into the mexican version of the fat white dopey kid from Bad Santa

Many good quotes...

I enjoyed this movie, maybe because I'm a huge Jack Black fan and for no other reason. It was plenty retarded and thoroughly predictable...but i dunno....it was entertaining at the same time.

It's even sparked an interest in building one of those little moto-bike-thingies he had, lol.

*Edited to remove potential spoilers*

I dont really like to review a comedy, so I'll make this short. I laughed from start to finish. Nacho, El Esqueleto, Chanco, and the rest of the cast worked so well together. All in all If you laughed at the trailer you should love this movie.
